Love this! I never realized how entrenched Italian culture was in Southern California. It was interesting to learn about the history of winemaking in LA, the connection of Little Italy to Chinatown, and the Church of the Immaculate Conception. The Italian American Museum in LA definitely deserves a visit. I wish Marianna Gatto every success with her book.
