I am a Korean born in 1966. This song reminds me of the old days when I went on a school picnic or a trip and danced with my friends to this music played on cassette tapes. It's a song that makes you feel so warm and excited even when you listen to it again.

I waa born in 1965 so I remember it being played repeatedly on WPLJ or WNEW in the NYC area. I was more hard rock but I liked anything catchy. My sister born in 55 was only 25 when this was released and she loves it. Back then she bought the vinyl. I remember riding back and forth to the beach and you'd hear this twice every hour. Good times and good music. My favorite J Geils album. It had that poppy edge, some new wave synths and rockers jelled together.

I've been a DJ for just about 40 years and I'll tell you right now, hands down this music is far and away some of the best music ever released! Fun, danceable, rock and roll mixed in with a dance music vibe. Takes the audio diarrhea of today and totally blows it out the window!

Love Stinks is arguably one of the most underrated albums of the Eighties. That synthesizer that Seth Justman is playing, by the way, is a Yamaha CS80 Synthesizer. And a very clean sounding CS80, to be honest.

You know what’s criminal about this song? It only peaked at #39 on Billboard’s Top-40 singles chart. This is one of my favorite jams, and I can only envy those who saw the J. Geils Band live in concert back in the day. They were the greatest party band in the USA. I must of got lost somewhere down the line while looking for a love. I saw on Facebook that the lead singer Peter Wolf is homeless in NYC. He spent his fortune throwing lots of wild expensive parties in high rise buildings near times square.
