Michael was 10 yo and the lead singer of a group with multiple nº1 hits on world tours. Then he went solo, made the greatest selling album ever, changed the entire music industry, video industry, got n1 hits in rock, pop, rnb, disco, became the most influential trend setter of his era, took charity to an entire other level, was received by kings, world leaders, poples, the dalai lama etc. These days, music is so crap that this generation tries to make an argument for beyonce against MJ. I mean. I have no words.

GabKoost I think Beyoncé is talented but she’s Beyoncé. Nobody can take MJ’s place. There will never be another Michael Jackson ever again 😭😭

I'm a huge MJ fan. Beautiful soul, I was genuinely naive enough to believe he'd be around forever but I guess through his music he will be...notice how fresh it is all these years later, Mike was a perfectionist and had a eye for real art, be that through music, film or style, even getting the message out about serious issues, Bless that soul. 🙌
@phyllisb46345 жыл бұрын
That was insane. Such charisma at such a young age. Your reaction was great, as always. I think you would enjoy Diana Ross and the Supremes. I'm also curious what is next on Grandma's list. We would love to meet her.

Actually, his VERY first TV performance was at the 1969 Miss Black America pageant. It went out LIVE and I saw it! I was that age. And it was absolutely his BEST PERFORMANCE OF HIS WHOLE LIFE. Seriously. I guarantee you! The song was "Its You're Thing." It will knock you out! The video quality is poor, but it's still very much worth watching. And he really was still 10!

I literally grew up with the J5. Mr Jackson was the same age as me and I fondly remember the school girl slumber parties where we'd all dance to The Jackson 5, talk about which brother we were gonna marry...lol AND, kiss the album cover...lmao. No hate, no prejudice, just music and love. How do we get that back? Song suggestion, from 1969, "Crystal Blue Persuasion" by Tommy James and the Shondells.

Michael Jackson is the GOAT of all music and dancing imho and I remember when I was a kid I saw the Moonwalker movie that included a short clip of MJ singing this song and even to this day that song gets me, because when Mike is singing the line, "Since you went away..." There is a genuine deep and soulful sound of pain from someone that to me is an old soul and it's so easy to see that Michael was so ahead of his time that I don't think there are any ways to truly describe how insanely great and gifted he was as a singer, dancer and entertainer, plus also a genius for knowing how to write and compose his own music, short films, etc, plus a damn good actor too. Great reaction video JB and have a great one dude 😎👍 You may be gone MJ, but you're still alive and strong in spirit with us all in your music that you gave us all, may you rest in the highest realm of Heaven 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Never forget. Plane landed and I was taken to the USO in DC. Had to wait for Walter Reed come pick me up so was just looking around and a lady came up to me and asked if i was going to another flight. When I told her no I would be stationed at Walter Reed. She asked me if I liked music I said yes and I had even sang some. She went behind her desk and gave me two tickets free to see the Jackson 5 Michael was 8 years old What a darling singer he was!
