From the 1970 album, " We Went to Different Schools Together" The Jaggerz were a rock band from Pittsburgh. Known as Donnie and the Donnells in college, this was a great little tune about guys trying to pick up girls by talking or rappin' with them to pick them up. Great guitars, the whirling organ, essential cowbells all made for a Number1 hit. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Craig. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

Donnie Iris (Ah Leah, Love Is Like A Rock were hits for him as a solo artist in the 80s) was the lead singer and wrote the majority of their material. He had been around since the 60s. Great talent.

This song made it to number 2 behind a little Simon & Garfunkel song "Bridge Over Troubled Water". Not bad for a little band from Pittsburgh, Pa.

The rhythm guitar is tube tone rich in even-order harmonincs, just a rich organic tone! That's why/how electric blues and rock happened in the first place.

Thank you for Keen Obervations & Reactions . .. I also like the Main Rythm Guitar, which has a Nice ring in the stroming and the Second Guitar one bringing in the intercepts to complement, . The Total song Is actually to short but at the Time the Industry standard was 45, around 2 1/2 minutes . I wonder what kind of guitar the Lead is Using gibson, Les Paul, ?? ,,, I see its a Big Red one, on other Videos

The buzzing is classic heavily overdriven output tubes. AKA fuzz tone! Probably bass guitar but posibly low guitar strings. In the 70's tubes were the tone to have. But solid state amplifiers were starting to be produced for good prices at twice the output power. Clean tone for P.A.'s but no classic guitar/tube tone, that's why guitar effects pedals started appearing. To this day transister amp makers are STILL trying to "emulate" tube tones.
