I always thought It’s Too Bad was their song that sounded most like the Beatles. Thanks for checking out this whole album! It brings me back to my childhood/tween/teen years when I listened to the Jam/Style Council A LOT. :) LOL Enjoyed seeing your reactions to songs I know so well!

Well played.👏👏👏👏👏 To think a 19 year old wrote the songs all but one, played out with his almost as young truly gifted band mates, as Wellers father and also their manager would say when introducing the band on stage ' put your hands together for the best band in the fucking world THE JAM!!' 👏👏👏👏👏

As always, I’m enjoying your reviews of The Jam. If you really want a top notch Weller love song try “You’re the best thing ( that ever happened)” from his Style Council era.

Excellent video!! It’s Too Bad is one of my favorite Jam songs and I especially love the live version on Dig The New Breed. Please check out The Jam’s next album, Setting Sons, which is just as good as All Mod Cons.

It's Too Bad is my favourite on this album even if 'To Be Someone' & 'Mr Clean are better. Tube Station I count as a single,otherwise that's the best track.

Loving you covering The Jam! Could you maybe do Sound Affects or some of their singles, Going Underground, Strange Town. Also if you like Foxton’s bass work, check out some of the songs he penned such as News Of The World, Carnaby Street and Smithers-Jones!

Great review of The Jam(as always) Two great tracks from 'All Mod Cons'. Yes, 'It's Too Bad' a nod to The Beatles....and 'Fly' is a beautiful love song....great instrumentation and deep lyrics.

I'm loving your All Mod Cons journey. Great reaction to very different songs. For curiosity, cause you never did a proper Beatles journey (from the beginning), try to listen to She Loves You and you'll hear the similarity with It's too bad. A classic early Beatles single. The guitar riff is just the same.

Your not alone "It's To Bad" , reminded me of a 60's pop tune with it's tone and rhythm. "Fly" kinda had that Beatles feel, very nice. This era of music is not my 'Jam' but Weller could write some goodun's! Peace & Love..

Two great tracks which often get overlooked when talking about The Jam's amazing back catalogue. 'It's Too Bad' shows off the band's Kinks and Who influences - the repeated backing vocals 'it's too bad' at the very end always sound to me like they could have come from 'Tommy'. 'Fly' is much more Beatley - a fantastic track. I hope you'll continue your Jam/Weller journey after this album. Make sure you listen to the two non-album singles that followed 'All Mod Cons'. First up was 'Strange Town' (a song about moving to London) and its b-side 'The Butterfly Collector', both excellent songs. The next single 'When You're Young' was really strong too. The b-side of 'When You're Young' was a track called 'Smithers Jones' which they re-recorded for the next album, the masterpiece that is 'Setting Sons'.
