It's funny, since in Chinese, the slang 草 or 艹 stands for 操 which literally means fuck. (the actual words means grass, too. Just like in Japanese) There are also many other terms that derive from the slang, and it is one of if not the most common Chinese slang you can find. But some of us (especially manga and anime fans) still uses w as a slang for laughing while having probably no idea that w is related with the character 草.
@kittyspam21467 жыл бұрын

SaruStuff124 I still don't understand it. Can you explain it to me I have autisms.
@SaruStuff1247 жыл бұрын
Oh, okay. So, it came out weird on his screen cause I guess he has Japanese letters on his keyboard (not surprising, especially with a video talking about Japanese slang). But essentially, you're just going up and down. Type: q a w s e d r f t, and so forth until you end on p. See that? It ping-pongs back and forth, which is how people remember how to type such a long piece of internet slang, haha. And what I said was: the correct answer was (A. "Internally screaming," but (B. was "Mind explosion," which is what happened (for me at least) when Joey explained it. That make sense? I get scared when I explain stuff, especially in text XD

This video came up on auto play again. So just an additional note: 草 meaning grass in Japanese, also means grass in Chinese. However, it is pronounced Cǎo. Similar pronunciation to 肏 Cào, which is a censored character meaning fuck. So when a Chinese person tries to type fuck, he would type 草. Imagine the confusion if a Japanese and a Chinese come across this unwittingly.

im learning japanese 2 right now, japanese 1 was really easy. hiragana and katakana were really easy to learn, although kanji is pretty hard. grammar is really hard as well (for me at least) but the app "mirai japanese" helps with that. you should really learn it :)
