What would be your car of choice to drop Ide-sans V12 into?

E31 850csi front, mid engine. Or Bmw m1 it looks like it needs a v12 in there.

@felixis81 Жыл бұрын
From being the official McLaren F1 service center to tuning complete BMWs and Ferraris, IDing Power's rich history is truly mind blowing and deserves more coverage. That V12 engine development work was definitely as professional as any works factory team, just curious why on the 355 though, would be incredibly insane if it's on a F40! Great content as usual Dino! 👍
@dino_dc Жыл бұрын
It was just a potential car that he was envisioning but as he said it would never really work as stretching the chassis to accommodate the motor would be just too difficult. As he sad, the motor was for the F1

@@dino_dcwhat other shops in Japan is like this or you know of?
@shifty1927 Жыл бұрын
I remember them. They're pretty og in the bmw world. Only because luckily as a teenager in the early 2000s my father/son project with my pops was his 97 e36 328i. Ended up being the world's first 1000whp, 9 second e36 328i. With full interior, AC , and heated leather seats.🔥 Whats wild is my pops only built and messed with Pontiacs before he bought the e36. Started out auto and he had 18 inch chrome wheels on it. Got it right when him and my mom split.. and he started going to the clubs.😂

Ide-san is a real gentleman, car enthusiast and a brilliant engineer whom I met in the late '90s. The Japanese magazine Special Cars International asked me to do a story on Iding Power Europe, which had just opened in Hamburg, Germany at the time. I tested his tuned E36 M3 and Ferrari F355 for them, and also ran the story in European Car magazine in the US. I still have all the sales brochures he gave me on the day. Thank you for the privilege Ide-san!

Modifying an Enzo sounds like a sacrilegious act but Ide-san has done it so tastefully that you have to admire the thought and effort that has gone into it. I'd love to see the Enzo and 460 being driven, if you get the chance in the future. Truly special cars and what a wonderful tuning shop. Thanks for the insight Dino!

Really appreciate the introduction to Iding; they're like a more focused, successful Tommy Kaira. That V12 would appear to at least be based on a McLaren F1 engine, which, let's not forget, is a BMW engine. There are at least...4...body parts I'd sell to drive that E class.
