Literally never knew there was a S platform before the s13. I never put it together. My dad had a 1.8 turbo 200sx and I never would have thought this was the prequel to the s13.

Our biggest local Cars & Coffee often exceeds 2,500 cars every month. There's been literal one-of-a-kind cars there. Ferraris and Lambos are a dime a dozen. One time I counted six McLarens. Since I started going I have never seen another S12 there but mine.

@@car-nivores so true! But I bet I've seen his posts on Club S12. Lots of great info there. I was able to do my first ever engine swap thanks to them. I replaced my 3.0 with a 3.3 with reground cams. Yay!

Nice video, there are plenty of S12 owners out there and we are a tight community of owners. Congrats for you doing a video on Chris's S12. RAD STALLIONS is another RAD car group in the New England area based out of Connecticut but have members from all over the place. I'm the founder Miguel Santos and I drive a 1987 Nissan 200sx V6 as well. One day I hope to have a meet with TriangleRAD and RAD STALLIONS would be a dream. We love these cars and all vehicles from the RAD era. Love the video 😀

What I think is even crazier, is the S12 Grand Prix. Only offered in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, 50 Units in total. Nobody knows why it was built, only offered with 4 cylinder 1.8T or 2.0 NA, and a wide-body along some other extras

I had an '88 SE, Blue. Previous owner had a custom exhaust done with Flowmasters. Lordy, did it sound glorious! GR-2's all around, 17" Konig wheels with 205/40-17 Kuhmo Ecsta's. If I still had it I'd build a VG34. My current fun Japanese car is an '89 MR2 S/C.

I had a 87 back in 2004. No performance market for them back then. I gutted the cat and installed a Monza dual exhaust tip. Higher rpm the car used to scream. It was glorious ✌🏾

Just for clarity, In 1987 and 1988, The mustang GT 5.0 Had a high output version with 225 horse So this V6 was no joke when it came out. I'm glad that he just wants to keep it (mostly) stock and roll it because it is pretty unique especially as far as Japanese cars go I mean, honestly if you want a fast car, you have plenty of modern options to choose from. The VG 30 in Normal aspirated form is very limited performance wise, This thing is not cool because it's fast it's cool because this unique. I'm a Nissan fan and I had no idea the production numbers on these was so low. A testament to how well they were made because I still see them once in a while..

I am was a big fan of Nissan rally cars from the 160J, 510, 710,PA 10, 240RS, 200SX, and GTI R. The 200 actually won the class 1988, 1989. It bullied the likes of the Toyota supras, Lancia Martini intergrale. Could have actually won those 2 years.
