I like the short overhang of the TJ tub! Gives a great departure angle!
@TheBonecaya3 жыл бұрын
Suggestion for the bed--- use the tub you have on the forward part of the bed, to get the shape wanted. fill the wheel wells so they're like a bedside. Get the other tub with the longer tail section for the rear part of the bed.

IMO this needs a cube van box put on it. Would make a perfect getaway rig. Everyone is putting tents on jeeps, with a van box you could put a kitchen and bed and storage, everything for an off-road week-long trip all in one.

I have a set of LJ springs setting in the garage, if you decide you need them let me know. I would also leave the extra frame on the rear end, I think it would make a solid base for a custom bumper.
@willb30183 жыл бұрын
You are 100% correct about the rounded bed corners looking better than factory. I always thought the FC Jeeps looked odd with the factory bed. All those birds reminded me of the old Hitchcock movie. 😱

The rear has a cross member where the TJ frame ends and the body mounts are on the “extra” cross member added to the rear for the LJ. So it does fit, and I like it. You can cut the extra frame off OR make a custom rear bumper.

Was hoping to see the cab fitted for good if you use the by now, if using that and the back is not wide enough do step side fenders sort of dually style would suit it as per the rendering of this FC.
@alyouresocool3 жыл бұрын
If the bed has to come up a few inches anyway, you can offset the mounting points with some box steel cut at an angle. ASCII Art: \ \ One bolt from the bed down into the top of the mount, and then another bolt from the bottom of the mount to the frame. Not ideal, but all your other mounts will be normal.

I could also imagine it with a jeepster rear for some reason lol you shoul do the tailgate swap from the old J10s that everyone does with the tjs Is it a j10 or cj tailgate? Anyways you know what I’m talking bout Lookin sweet Matt! I’m visiting Tennessee in may and hopefully bringin the jeep and want to atleast hit one trail while on vacation out there given my new beadlocks show up to the house before then I know you’re a busy guy but would love to hit some trails with y’all!!! Does anyone know why my jeep TJ makes a sound like it has a rock in the tire (it does not), but only up until 10 miles an hour and then it stops making the sound. It sounds like it was coming from the front passenger side. It does not make the sound if I jack up that tire and spin it by hand. Does it going forward or backward, whether I’m in neutral or drive. If the tires are spinning at 10 miles an hour or less it makes a clicking/ticking sound.
