This is the story of a man named Jeremy. Jeremy worked for a company where he was Streamer #985. Streamer #985's job was simple: he sat at his desk in Room 985 and he made noises with his mouth. Chat messages came to him through a monitor on his desk telling him what noises to make, how long to make them, and in what order. Jeremy relished every moment that the chat messages came in, as though he had been made exactly for this job. And Jeremy was happy. And then one day, something very peculiar happened. Something that would forever change Jeremy; Something he would never quite forget. He had been at his desk for nearly an hour when he had realized not one single chat message had arrived on the monitor for him to follow. No one had shown up to make fun of him, ask for "next game," or even say, "resident sleeper." Never in all his years at Twitch had this happened, this complete isolation. Something was very clearly wrong. Shocked, frozen solid, Jeremy found himself unable to move for the longest time. But as he came to his wits and regained his senses, he got up from his desk and stepped out of his office. All of his viewers were gone. What could it mean? Jeremy decided to go the dashboard room, perhaps he had simply missed a downtime Yet there was not a single viewer here either. Feeling a wave of disbelief, Jeremy decided to go to Twitch's office. Logging into Twitch’s customer support, Jeremy was once again stunned to discover not an indication of any live viewers. Shocked, unraveled, Jeremy wondered in disbelief who canceled him? What dark secret had finally gotten out?

"it seems that Jeremy's 'Dog Break', was indeed cutting into an extended amount of time, and not just the narrator himself but likely his psychotic fanbase all wanted Jeremy to continue playing his funny existential video game." "Jeremy was very persistent to watch his dog videos, even if he was wasting valuable time in his streaming schedule, his life, and the lives of thousands of chat members who simply wanted Jeremy to play the game." "please tell me this bit is a joke. you have completely forgotten about the game you have spent from what I can assume ages dying for, and more importantly, hours playing. you had to get support from a on-stream developer to open one little tiny door, you locked yourself in a room twice just to try for extra dialogue, and you are now wasting precious precious time on random off brand Christmas covers, when around the time of the edited video's release it is coming towards Halloween." "are you still watching these dog videos? is that Gabe the dog? that was a meme ages ago Jeremy, that isn't funny anymore. none of this is funny. in fact, Gabe the dog died. you see, now you've just made me and potentially thousands of other people not only bored, but depressed. however, although you may be unaware of this, you are at a pause screen for a very interesting and thought-provoking video game. in fact, thousands of people want to watch this game, get invested, and then give you real world money to get you to read something about how great the video game is. all you have to do is unpause the game." "are you kidding me?! do you realize how popular this is on release? Jeremy, I know you're, erm, *special* when it comes to some situations like this, but this is real world money. you are a streamer on twitch. you are *paid* to play video games. in fact, you have a job most teenagers and youth nowadays would metaphorically kill for, and you're going to sit here and do simply nothing but unintelligibly look pleased because of dog barks. yes, I understand you want to be a cute catboy and please all of the estranged people who watch your streams and videos, but if this catboy keeps this behavior up, then I am going to get the bottle of spray." "no wonder everyone calls you a psycho! do you have any idea what the words 'attention span' mean?!?? all you have to do is make one funny noise, I don't know, by accident, and people will make jokes benefitting you for years. you're the sus guy, Jeremy. think of how easy your life is and you still refuse to even take advantage of it. and you're disappointing thousands of people, I mean, have you ever looked at your view counter??! what is wrong with you??!?" i might be mistaken, but there are ways to unlock hidden knowledge / memories in one's mind - this can have a variety of applications and can be accessed through techniques like hypnosis, certain forms of meditation, and dreaming (lucid or not). It's possible that if you've been exposed to a foreign language a lot, but never learned it, you could unlock the ability to speak more of it than you think you know. We are also capable of deluding ourselves, so if someone tries this, the outcome of speaking gibberish and not actually unlocking any deep knowledge is definitely possible.

After seeing Jerma play this, I really want to see him play disco elysium. Idk, he seems like the kind of guy who already has his psyche split into 20 different voices all telling him to do different-but-equally-insane things. Think he might enjoy some representation.
