From what I heard from people supposedly forwarding the BHVR development team’s wishes, apparently 2v8 will eventually become a permanent gamemode that runs alongside the standard 1v4 gamemode and will not replace it, so likely the worst thing that will happen when it’s permanently added is that the standard gamemode gets longer queue times.

Rowby. P10 Trapper Main. I am currently at 4:43 in this video, and you have placed two traps inside of pallets - that is two too many. I am going to cry. Heavily advise putting traps near "edges" of pallets, i.e. in those grassy spots you already called out, so that as a survivor starts trying to loop you they'll end up getting snared. Otherwise they can just slam that pallet down and vault right over it (this happened to me several times before I figured out what I was fumbling). Beyond that, this was a very informative video and I will probably end up playing some 2v8 tonight. Thank you very much.

I saw way too much nurse, personally. Maybe it was just a patch of em all at once, but if it wasn’t huntress it was Nurse/Wraith. Every. Time. I also got very few competent teammates as survivor, but the moment I get aggravated and swap to killer suddenly I get 8 man A-Teams running circles and playing like a tournament payout depended on it.

2:20 - 2:33 ... I just wanted to mention. A strat I've run as killer, and immediately stopped down since it was too OP, was I would intentionally cross the map to where I knew the cage had to spawn since it was the farthest point from me and my teammate... and then I would chase survivors away from the cage, make it teleport, and repeat. I would hit, down, and cage as I went. This made it easily to apply gen pressure accross the entire map, preventing an easy/free save, and consistently stretched the resources of the survivor team. This strat made it an almost unlosable game, even on the maps I feel are surivor sided. I felt it was toxic and stopped doing it so people could play the game in peace. But I just wanted to warn people of this tactic.

Theres also killer bots. I found this out when the person I was in a call with DC'd twice in a row because they wanted to check discord messages, but only DC'd after all the gens popped and I was playing a 1v8 the whole god damn match. The AFK happened 3 seperate matches too, so that was a waste of sitting in a queue.

I'm having an absolute blast with this mode, both roles have so much of the pressure taken off and its all so gloriously chaotic. It just needs some more maps and killers. I get that some killer powers would be a real headache to adapt, like Freddy and Xeno, but I can't imagine Spirit, Slinger, Demo, Clown and Hag would need much tweaking. As for maps, maybe the original big RPD? If they could find a spot for a 3rd gate that is.

I was wondering about making each killer / survivor have something like a fifth perk slot but only for their native perks, so it's interesting to see that idea implemented in the form of skills to try and make them feel more individual. Heres another gamemode i want in the game The chase trial Its simple all the survivors aura will be permanently revealed but they have 5 health states their goal is to survivor 7 minutes will the killer will be permanently set to 4.8 movement speed the killer will be set as the trapper nut without his traps so just the killer anyways survivors can find items around the map but it costtheir health states to get one Survivors items Quick relief- cost 1 health state It allows your sura to be hidden for 20 seconds every minute Speed boots- cost 2 health states It makes you move at 4.2 movement speed for 10 seconds every minute

Due to sheer chaos the game does feel more fun, but I feel like the enjoyment is weighed more on the killer side. I think this mode amplifies what killers like and amplifies what survivors don't. I never feel like I had a "bad game" in the 1v4 way but survivor matches do feel more hollow and repetitive than 1v4. Killer is definitely a major improvement to 1v4 gameplay wise besides the lack of cutsomization.

good vid as usual. a few notes: 1) preface is pronounced "preffis", not PRE-face. 2) killer queues are so long because survivors are getting 400% blood points, which is insane. 3) 2v8 is like if dbd was made in 2016 and had never acquired any licenses or went beyond version 1.0, or maybe 1.5 or thereabouts. it's very basic. it gets pretty dull pretty fast. the blood point bonus keeps us playing, though. 4) i doubt it'll ever be all killers in this mode. maybe they'll make it a regular summer event, and add a new killer (maybe two) each season, drawing out the killer additions over many years and totally milking it. after all, farm blood points = get iri shards = want to buy cosmetics. but you're short of shards, and that cosmetic is just 250 auric cells.....you'll just buy it with cash, what the hell. now i have the full set. THAT is how they operate.

I will say the yellow-red cages stages arent a flawless description of effort and value. For example, trapper might not down and cage people often but if you hear a trap snap every 30 seconds or so, you know they are keeping people injured, busy, and your job easier.

I like your content and your humour (long time viewer, recent sub, been watching since over 2 years ago) but not gonna lie the comparison to 2v8 vs ARAM is wild. 2v8 has 4 class' for survivors to choose from. and killers pick who they are. ARAM is liberally a random character mode. to make them even close you're survivor would have to be random, and the only perks you got was from those characters and same with Killer.
