I barely started playing within 2 months. Can't tell you how many times players teabag when they didn't do shit the emtire match and then try to be toxic when the hatch just spawns right in front of them

So. Have you guys played solo queue more than 15 times in one week before? You will find out that this stuff is pretty balanced in that sense. The Sable Ward spends 2 minutes in the basement while one person attempts to loop the killer for that duration, but can only manage 30 seconds before getting bloodlusted into a down, one person doing a single gen and one person is wandering around the map, trying to avoid the looping survivor and the killer.

I adore this character. He has a lot of complexities that once you figure them out makes you feel so powerful. Flight of the Damned is easy to dodge? Spawn it right on top of the survivors and watch it insta hit them. Survivors chaining windows? Use flight of the damned to quickly fly through or body block the next window. Survivor about to use the hand of vecna to teleport away? Cast a sphere right as they get in and watch them sit there completely flabbergasted. There’s just so many tricks to him and thanks to that and his versatile add ons, you can build him a variety of ways and still feel strong and fun.

No. That would breed Identity V problem of killers being so heavily dependent on tier list that half of them are unplayable. Perks carrying the game surprisingly allows for a diversity of the killers.

Flight of the dammed is great especially on maps with elevation. You can also insure a hit if you use it while they are vaulting or dropping a pallet.

Yes you are correct, but BHVR doing this reinforces one of the key complaints of the game. Survivors get fun, chill, casual perks. Meanwhile, killers get basic, sweaty, “play to win” perks. The reason for this tho is that killer perks need to be that or they are immediately not viable against 4 people. And so we fall into sweaty tunneling/camping killers. And semi-dumbshit casual survivors

@@dadrako1581 I guess I kind of get what you mean. We need more quirky perks that are shit on all but one or two killers, But on those killers results in something pretty fun. Example: Insidious. Absolute F tier dogs**t on 99% on the killers, Unless you're The Unknown (And MAYBE Spirit), Then you can scare the shit out of them. Problem there though is that the insidious example almost feels accidental. It's been sitting there, Wallowing in how everybody looks at it with distain for about 7-8 years, Until Unknown showed up and gave it a use. It feels like they wanted to do something quirky like you said, But quirky turned out to be useless. It's a really difficult triangular balancing act between: Making it decent enough that you might want to use it/Making it quirky and unique/Not making certain killers it could be used on absolutely busted.

Fun fact - You can actually down someone in a single shot of the skeletons if they are close enough to the initial casting and are actually hit by 2 at the same time. It won't happen often given how tricky something like that is to set up much less pull off but when it does... ooooh the survivor will definitely be salty in the endgame chat about it.

i’ve played since launch but never picked someone i liked. I’m good at a few but i’d always rotate to someone else. The Lich is the first one i can see defaulting to because he’s that fun. weave attainment, forced penance, franklins demise, Horde, bag of holding, robe of eyes, and screech cobbler for the extra chest. you will never run out of people to chase. you will counter their items just by hitting them. their entire way of countering you is basically stripped away because they can’t hide.

There was nasty tip for the flight of the damned. Position yourself at basement or lower floor by your power marching at ground. That way skeletons will fly RIGHT ON THE GROUND so it will be easier to hit survivor!

well to be honest on the situation about the perks, every killer do get toys in a form of a new power and etc, while survivor are basically a reskin with some perks about him, so they do need these goofy tools to have some freshness about them because that's all they got (and items, but will they add new item in? I wished that for this chapter specifically, instead of gong on a 30/45/60 system, ALL the perks killer and survivor required you to roll a dice. I have no idea how you would balance that, but it would just give the character’s perks a note unique identity that hasn’t been felt in other chapters for years

Franklin's demise and weave attunment is such a great combo. I run it on My Sadako and try to hit them when they are near key generators or TVs. monitoring the TVs and Gens and ready to counter any attempt to turn of a TV with a TP into their face. or unsure there are Survivors near TVs when I teleport. So much condemn.

I have had an idea of a killer perk that would be rituals these would impact totems still, but the first one i had was You may interact with any hex or boon totem, snuffing that totem and making it a dull totem. interacting with a dull totem will place that hex or boon you removed on that dull totem. hexes and boons are temporarily disabled while being carried, but will retain any tokens collected.

I've been playing vecna so much, currently on a 60 streak with him too. He's unbelievably complex with a high skill ceiling. I agree with a lot of the points made, but honestly, you can only figure out vecna by playing vecna. First, his fly addons are absolutely useless. Speed potion will get you a hit 1/10 games. His mage hand addons aren't great either, either a pallet is too good enough to beat mage hand, or it's not, the addons work about 2/10 games (also, telekinesis ring is his worst addon, a survivor with good ping can immediately drop a pallet after you lift it if you have it.) Dispelling sphere addons are useless, same with flight of the damned. Vecna's b&b is flight of the damned as a distance gainer, and hand to deny a pallet to get the hit. Also, flight if the damned can hit through walls, so if you chase at shack and the survivor goes around a wall, go closer to it and use the spell, unless the survivors expects it, you'll get a free hit. Never use flight of the damned from a distance, good survivors WILL crouch, only use it if it forces a medium vault or gets an insta hit His best addons are spell ring and power pearl, they make his spells much stronger by reducing the cooldown by a lot. His other good addons are robe of eyes and bag of holding. Robe, if you spam spells with pearl, gives you constant info across the map, and bag denies the survivors from using all 7 chests, also giving some info. His best perks are m1 killer perks like spirit fury/enduring, coup, rapid, save, monitor, and undetectable perks.

Vecna is actually the most fun I've had with the game in ages. Flight of the Damned isn't meant to be guaranteed damage or it would be more difficult to use, it's guaranteed zoning. Survivors having to crouch to dodge it lets you get easy hits.

The rational explanation for the difference between Survivor v Killer perks is because you can give Survivors a guitar and every single one of them can use it the exact same way, but if you give Killers a perk, you have to think about how the different ones will use it Think about Starstruck, where on some killers it was completely useless and then you could stick it on Nurse and just win. And that's a pretty reasonable situation still, but ultimately as the game gets bigger and things get more complicated it's just easier to design Killer perks that are strong-but-not-silly, because if you gave Killer some kind of like...Plot Twist-style perk, it'd be funny, until someone found out that if you use it on Wesker or something the game becomes unwinnable

The crow perk does have counterplay, it's called "Calm spirit being another fuck you to some killers and useless otherwise" Unless you run directly through the crow, you can't disturb them which screws languid touch and spies from the shadows, and one of these definitely didn't need the screw you

I recently bought a buncha killers and leveled em for their perks and i've def noticed that basically none of em are "fun" almost 75% of them are auto/non interactive things. Theyre all designed for winning games, not having fun. Just makes me realise why i always would be thinkin more how to win than to have fun in games. Cause the only way the perks do anything is by trying to win. Not by trying anything fun or unique

I've been loving Vecna, he's so fun. I've actually found the skele-shotgun to be more useful for information (with the lantern add-on) and/or a little bit of slow down. I pretty quickly found myself comparing Vecna to Medjay from For Honor; a character with two distinct movesets, which would theoretically give him much more depth and a steeper learning curve than most of the other fighters, if it weren't for the fact that both movesets are incredibly basic and feel like watered down versions of fighters that already exist in the game. Vecna has four powers, which is much more than the usual one or two that every other killer has, and while it's not right to expect each one to be almost as nuanced as a proper power, most of them feel too watered down. This was touched on in the video, but from what I played of him on the PTB, it didn't really feel like there was more than one, _maybe_ two types of situations that most of the powers were useful in, which disappointingly made such a seemingly complex killer actually end up feeling pretty easy. -then again, Singularity is my highest prestige killer so what do I know about easy killers--
