It’s nice to see Jerkbaits coming back at a much lower price since FFS “weenie worms” devastated the fishing tackle industry. Once $24.99, they’re now listed at $24.99. I remember when the introduction of the simple and vastly more popular Senko caused a similar massive industry-wide collapse, forcing many shop owners into food lines. So glad the industry rebounded from the devastation.

Love these baits. Six of us went out fishing one day on the weekend brother-in-law's and father-in-law couldn't catch anything until I pulled out my only 110 and on the third cast I caught the first largemouth of the day. Went back to the store the next day and bought four more in different colors. Made a Believer out of me

Not paying $25 for a jerkbait mega bass prices are ridiculous
@robertbrost77779 ай бұрын
A bass will hit any jerk bait when they are actively feeding. No need to spend $25 when a $10 one works fine. It's not the bait, it's the timing. MegaBass jerk baits have caught more fishermen than bass.

I'vd been a Marshal before on Lake Lanier and I saw with my own eyes how the 110 +1 Jr. catches them when other don't. I was with two different pros, one was throwing Megabass, the other was throwing a Spro. Same "pro blue" color and the Megabass outfished it by a mile. The other pro actually tied a Megabass on and asked me not to take any photos because they were sponsored by the other company. He almost immediately started catching more and better fish. That's when I started taking out loans to buy Megabass jerkbaits lol.

I have been fishing with the Lucky Craft Pointer 78DD way more than the Pointer 100 with great success. I fish deeper, clear water lakes and I do use a 6' 6" spinning rod. So my experience lines up with you yours Randy.

For all us fishing peasants! I went to bass pro shop the other day and they have brand new xps lure versions out. They now have a jerkbait called a staredown 100+1 and its legit a copy of the mega bass vision 110 jr. They even had elegy bone and table rock shad. I paid $8.99 for 1 instead of $20 plus for a Megabass!

Agree with all except you get you a Curado BFS and Correct action Dobyns Sierra Ultra Finesse casting rod and you can bomb a lure like that, for me personally. I agree it is a personal choice whether you want to stay spinning or go with a BFS set up, if you haven't actually tried it you may not want to because there goes your bank account!!!!!

Randy, I was at my Roku Cabela’s today and I was looking at the megabus jerk bait for $24. Then I was looking at the KBD jerk Bates for $10 apiece. I was like holy crap man I would love to have one of the mega jerk bait, but man I would not like to cast one of them into a tree.lol

All those jerk baits are different. Most of them are quite costly. Performance is another issue. I've found that getting that bait to recover during the jerk is what I catch most of my strikes on. Those pretty" Ito painted series" baits look beautiful but they won't bring that strike you'll get from Rapala jerk baits. Straight out of the package, they are tuned to perform & I've not bought a bad one yet!! I have good luck with Mossyback color and ghost shad. I don't charge the hooks but it will change the cadence and return.

Do you review royalties from Megabass?
@darrellgrant76159 ай бұрын
Do you mean receive royalties ? He’s sponsored by them so he gets all his Megabass stuff for free. If you use his links in the description he does get a royalty from the store which he always is up front about.
@fishingangler43159 ай бұрын
@@darrellgrant7615I wouldn't assume he gets equipment for free. He might get prototypes for free to test out but most likely the sponsorship leads to discounts on equipment.

you keep on emphasis about you should throw the jerk bait on spinning only, but are you forgetting that BFS (Bait Finesse System) allow you to cast light lure very far. i never have any issue casting the 110 jr on casting gear, so i don't know what your talking about at all
@clay75149 ай бұрын
I tried spinning but it felt extremely awkward
@leepao63029 ай бұрын
@@clay7514 yes it will, if you it's not something you do it all the time. but again, I still prefer casting gear over spinning if can any day; because i can cover more water and be more efficient with my gears throughout the day.
