The white Rangers jersey is one of the best in the NHL. The diagonal "Rangers" is such a simple yet beautiful look, yet the small details of the jersey are what set it apart. The shoulder yoke is fantastic and the 3D shadow on the letters and numbers are just such nice touches. Unique without being gaudy. It retains the classic look while at the same time adding something that doesn't make it boring. Truly a gorgeous jersey.

As a lifelong Rangers fan, I will always love and prefer the traditional blue Rangers jersey. There's just so much history there. I love the classic, simple and clean look of full royal blue, laced blue collar, white/red/white striping with no gaps; it's just a thing of beauty in my eyes. LGR!!!

The reason the shield jersey was discontinued was that John Ferguson the GM was fired after '78 season he designed the jersey and took the design with him when he took the Jets job Fred Shero did not want the association with the jersey he was a fan of the traditional Rangers Jersey

Hey love your collection, a few things to note as far as the Rangers jerseys: the 1976-1978 version was John Ferguson’s idea and when he left the Rangers, he took the design to Winnipeg with the Jets. The Blue Lady Liberty actually has 2 different number kits, the first one featuring the white lining in the numbers when they first introduced it in 1996-1997, and the second version without it after they went back to the blue from the white in 1999-2000. Another thing of note is the number kit on the Heritage 3rd released in 2010, the reason the numbers are red/white trim as opposed to red/white drop shadow is because the Rangers numbers were like that from 1933-1955. I wish I had as many jerseys as you lol. Keep up the awesome hockey vids 👍👍👍!!!!

SOswin1 you are correct with your reason why Ferguson changed the sweater design. But also, 2 reasons you didn’t mention were (I’m a long time Ranger fan who has been going to games since I was a youngster back in late 60’s), Ferguson was a long time Montreal Canadian player and later assistant coach who absolutely HATED the Rangers. Also, he wanted to ‘change the culture’ so want better way to accomplish both was to change over the original 6 uniforms he hated playing against. After being fired and leaving for Winnipeg Ferguson admitted this in an interview I read in The Hockey News.

The Rangers is one of the few team That I think their white jersey is better than their dark. Their Fauxbacks, and 2014 Stadium Series jersey is good. I like the way the stripes looked from 1978-97 where their stripes match on both jerseys match. I would love to see a third jersey based of the 1978 road jersey, with the logo on the shoulder.

Another Original Six team that has their fashion done right. The letters work well still today. Didn't mind the 1970s jersey even though most didn't like. They should bring back the Liberty jerseys and use as a secondary logo. All Original Six jerseys are great.

I have bought many Rangers jerseys from many jersey websites. I have 3 Rangers jerseys in my possession, with more to add in my collection in the upcoming seasons to come. I have a Rangers blue Adidas jersey that I bought from, www.coolhockey.com ($175) I also have a lady liberty blue alternate jersey that I ordered from, www.customthrowbackjerseys.com ($215.95). Plus, I'll be ordering the white lady liberty jersey when I get my 2020 tax return next year. I also have a 90's Rangers road blue jersey which was given to me from my neighbor. He was cleaning out the closet and didn't want to throw it out and I told I was a fan and he was kind enough to give it to me. The other ones I want to get is... The 2012 and the 2018 Winter Classic jerseys. The 2010 - 11 "New York" Heritage Jersey. And (if it'll happen) a new Rangers alternate, if there will be one come next season or the season after. I'm not a big fan of the 2014 Stadium Series jerseys. They worked, but I'm not quite impressed with the design of those jerseys. I kinda see it as... Flawed. And as a sidenote... I always customize my jerseys with my last name and my favorite number... WILLIAMS JR - 94 🏒🥅🗽🚨

I was born in NYC in 1974. My childhood of watching Rangers hockey was the late 70's through the mid 90's, when I moved to Denver in 1995. For me, the only correct jersey setup for my favorite team growing up was the White home jersey with Rangers across the front, and the Blue away jerseys with New York across the front. Anything else is just wrong in my brain, and never, ever, will I accept those Liberty Head jerseys into my heart. I just can't stand them, and am so glad they never won a cup with those things, as it makes me want to retch.
