Going back to STL for the holidays and looking at the Blues instagram made me reconsider the red on the jersey. It's done much better than I initially thought, and as the guy in Dick's Sporting Goods said "It really makes the blue note pop" Yes it does random guy.

As someone who is colour-blind, "green" is a very loose term. Vegas' dark jersey, to me, is green. Apparently it is grey. That new New Jersey jersey is definitely black, but is green. Though, "new New Jersey jersey" was typed unintentionally, and I'm noticing the repetition and thoroughly enjoy it.

I have 3 reverse retro jerseys of my local hockey teams in the New York area, Islanders, Rangers, and Devils they look good in person to me love the Devils green jersey kinda different Christmas style jersey, never had a Rangers lady liberty jersey before so had to get it and looks good in person and the Islanders reverse retro is okay navy blue with their original logo on it still wished they did the fisherman logo but GM Lou Lamoriello had something to do with it though but the jersey reminds me of the late 90's early 2000's jersey.

agreed with your take on the Rangers all around. i still think the original set is better, but upon receiving the RR i'm still really impressed. it's so nice to have a stitched-on lady liberty, though i still wish they tried it in grey. pleasantly surprised to see you bumped it up, enjoy the season!

For the Predators logo, that is actually not the original crest. The crest on the original set of jerseys has many colors including orange, multiple blues, silver, and white. The crest on the Reverse Retro is a version of the crest that was used on the Navy Alternate (with the checkerboard bottom) circa 2010. The crest on the current jerseys is a simplified version of the original, with just a yellow streak inside. They simplified the colors to cut down on costs associated with merchandise. Although the shape and design of the “Pred Head” has been virtually unchanged since the beginning, there have been multiple renditions done with different color schemes. This is been a common mistake with many people I’ve seen talking about the new RR Jersey, so I thought I’d just share some knowledge to clear things up. Keep up the great work Shannon!

I have bedsheets from the early 90s, probably like '94, and most of these logos are just the logos from those bedsheets so thats kinda fun, I do like a lot of these, but a whole bunch of them look like practice jerseys, lookin at you san jose

As for the Red Wing jersey. Tonight is opening night with a new team captain. So they were showing old film of past Red Wings players. So they show Gordie Howe in the 1950's wearing that white jersey with the Red Wing winged wheel on the front. You diss Gordie Howe? So retro? Throw back? What did you want? That is the jersey the Red Wings wore when they were one of the dominate teams in the NHL! Would you have preferred a gold and green pizza on the front of the jersey? (g) They could have done a cougars jersey. But that would have looked just like a Florida Panthers jersey.

At first I was disappointed as an Oilers fan in our Reverse Retro, but when I saw it on the ice it shot up for me; that was the case for a lot jerseys. I also really loved the use of grey on a lot of jerseys, especially Nashville and San Jose. Not Toronto or Detroit though lol.

I think the reason the Oilers one is kinda low on many lists is that it's simple and not to catching. It's awesome that we can wear that against the flames Reverse Retro and it's an awesome throwback to the WHA (even though the NHL wont admit it, and says it's a reverse of the Gretzky era.) But I agree that others are above it, but I think it's gonna be like that just by being a white jersey among the spectacle of colour the other team's have. I don't think it's ALL your bias against the oilers (i kid i kid, I know you don't) great video! It's awesome to see some of these in lights I've never seen them before!

The best ones to me were all the ones that went with red, except for the Vegas one. The Caps, Jackets, Sens, Blues were all great imo. Also the Tampa Blue is absolutely stunning, and should absolutely be their primary going forward.

I agree with you as a preds fan on the jerseys being too yellow, but then again I liked their ones from right before the addias switch. Truthfully I was hoping the reverse retro would go back to the blue third jerseys or feature more blue. But I actually really like the preds reverse retro and the silver was a very nice surprise.

Instead of grey like some teams chose. The silver on the shoulders and the blue stripe on the bottom of the jersey helps breakup & compliment the yellow and makes for a great Predators jersey. I wish they would make the Reverse Retro jersey their regular home jersey if they insist on having yellow home jerseys. Just add the guitar pick on the shoulder that has nothing and put the piano keys on the inside of the back collar and you have a winning home jersey.

Shannon, preds fan here, I like the reverse retros a lot and wouldn’t mind if they switched to those full time, I think the home jerseys have too much yellow but they are still better than our aways. My three favorite preds jerseys are the 10-11 alternaters, the winter classic, and the reverse retros. I think we have a lot of potential with our jerseys because we have some cool patches but I would like to see us do more blue. An example would be If the front logo was a skull and the primary color was blue (maybe use the grey from the reverse retros), have the piano keys behind the color, the old nashville shoulder patch, and could do a guitar pick or something else on the other shoulder. Sorry for rambling but wanted to let you Know what I thought about jerseys since I hadn’t seen a comment about the preds

The burnt orange sometimes looks more red than orange on broadcasts & in photos. Using the brighter orange removes that possiblity.

I wish detroit would have gone back to the 30's type logo where the actual crest was reverse colored from today's. 30's crest, current logo color scheme, the can keep the current striping and add the "Gothic D" on the shoulders (like the first winter classic jersey). Home or away, wouldn't matter to me. What would you think about that look?

As a Canuck fan I never cared for the gradient. Id like it much better if just had the green shoulder/sleeve like it has now.. but only the blue for the main part without the gradient. I'm curious to see how it looks on the ice though, maybe it will change my mind.

The Leafs used silver instead of white to represent 2 things 1 is the centennial year they used silver on the outdoor jersey and 2 is the sundin Era had a silver outline on the shoulder TML patch. I like the leafs RR biased opinion cuz I'm a huge fan of the leafs and their classic sweaters from the 40s-70s

Totally agree with you. As a Nashville fan, I think they should make the RR jersey their permanent home jersey. I am in love with the "tinfoil" shoulders from the original jerseys! However, I wish the Predators would have included their original patch on the opposite shoulder and I wish they would have used the original color scheme for their throwback chest logo. But overall, their RR is the second best jersey Nashville has ever made. I disagree with a lot of other Nashville fans who wanted them to go back to a navy jersey for the RR. I think navy is played out and extremely boring. Half the NHL has a navy or blue jersey. The Predators need to stick with yellow!

Shannon, I have a canucks jersey question for you. Have you ever noticed on some of the canucks retro flying skate white jerseys from two or three years ago that the neck colors were out of order? On some of them the neck colors were black, red, yellow. On my 90s jersey, the color order was black, yellow, red. I think the manufacturers have since corrected this problem. Just a quirky question from a fan in Central Florida.

Just FYI... screen printing and sublimation are two completely different processes and calling a sublimated jersey screen printed is like calling an embroidered jersey sublimated. Might seem like an unimportant detail to most but having worked in sports jersey industry there is a huge difference to me. If that Ducks jersey was screen printed instead of sublimated it would look like complete and utter garbage. Sorry about the rant.
