Just Brilliant. They knew from their very own start that Rock and Roll was closed book, it had already done everything it was ever going to do (in terms of being new and rebellious). So they took the best pages from this sacred book of Rock and Roll that we all read as kids and took the best pages ---the looks, feels and sounds of the best: Dylan, Velvets, Phil Spector and so many wonderful others. Write songs about sex and death/decay and NEVER smile. Oh they were great, and I bet they were having a great laugh while doing it all. If it's not clear, I have always liked and listened to this band a lot. It's good they get so much late day recognition. They were always looking back themselves. Dog Bless Rock and Roll.

I said it before and I'll say it again just one of the best tracks ever.Saw them play live in October,sadly they didn't play this but it was totally amazing so good.I had waited to see them most of my adult life and I wasn't disappointed #Reidbrothers #Legends #JAMC

And 22 years later, the only band I will continue to love, perhaps for all my life. This is sad in reality, because the music is all about heartbreak, disillusionment, alienation and desire.

How can we describe JAMC music? It makes me want to die, makes me want to live - live a fulfilled life with joy and sadness. Their music has never changed in that essence to me. Love them so much.

Well I guess I never saw her in that way Well I guessed everything always ends that way Oh I guess I should have tried to make her stay Keep on coming Keep on coming Some people live their lives to understand Some people live their lives to take command But the day has come when I must make my stand Keep on coming Keep on coming Don't ever change Don't ever change Change Change If I can't get to you It's just the way you tried to hold me down You got a hold on me and I'm scared to make a sound And you know everything I ever tried to say Come on keep on coming please don't walk away You got a hold on me and I'm scared to let you go

This song makes me so sad. It reminds me of this one person who I loved so much but never really told this to, he once wrote this to me in a letter (don't ever change). He really liked me and wasn't as afraid to let that be known, but I was always the one backing off. The last part of this song says it for me - it's just the way you try to hold me down...I would have loved to stay for him, but my heart said I had to keep on going. It's been more than twenty years and it still hurts.

what many jamc fans know is that 90% of what the band is about are their b-sides and collections. barbed wire kisses, the sound of speed, hate rock n roll. don't get the power of negative thinking. get those 3 albums instead and listen to them as they were originally currated by the band. also..vegetable man.
@npcx-mq6cr5 жыл бұрын
Couldn't get those albums where I grew up to save your life - anything other than Darklands and Psychocandy, forget it. We were _lucky_ to find Barbed Wire Kisses on a cassette taped from a cassette taped from a cassette. Fucking 80s.
