Regarding the above criticism, I don't see how it is valid- the fact that the music follows the same original formulae does not make it weaker. Blues music has been doing this for decades and no one ever criticises it for that, the same can be said of almost any form of music. Once a winning formula is found, why not stick with it??

i'm with Tom. these guys are great and I have been a fan for 30 years - their new stuff is still relevant and better than the rehashed derivative shite that passes for new music these days. I saw them this year and there were all ages there. The Cure, well their early stuff is great but I grew tired of their later stuff and JD was sadly cut off in their prime.

Us fans of the Mary chain seem to stick loyal to them regardless of how long we’ve known them. Their music is something that never gets boring to me, no matter how many times I hear it.
