The "prayer of the heart" (also called the "Jesus prayer") is a valuable form of prayer, originally from the Eastern Church. In an attempt to correspond to St. Paul's exhortation to "pray without ceasing" (1Thess 5:17), the desert fathers developed this systematic repetition of an ejaculatory, the classic form of which is, "Lord Jesus, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner." When we have exercised ourselves a little in this prayer, we will notice that, thanks to its simplicity, it lends itself perfectly to praying it in any place and circumstance: while driving, while doing household chores, while in the waiting room, etc.

Lord Jesus Christ son of the living God have mercy on me. For all I have done wrong. Have mercy on my sister Ann who died on Monday April 8 ,2024 unexpectedly. She was 71 and raised a Russian Orthodox. She had walking issues. She was a believer and prayed everyday to God and was so positive and loving to all. A beautiful soul. I miss her so much. I’m very thankful for your video… I was suffering from mental illness, your prayers led me back to Jesus Christ. When I couldn’t make breakfast, when I was on the bed and couldn’t get up, I listen to this prayer and little by little, I can wake up and slowly I can make breakfast and later I’m able to take care of myself. I only found you all tonight. I've listened to each song a little and live them. When listening to O Emmanuel suddenly I realized I was engulfed in a fragrance, but no candles were lit. Mt husband smelled it too and got chills!! I showed him the incense in the visldeo. We could not believe God saw fit to bless us with a visitation!! I was in the midst of forwarding the chant to our good friend who has cancer so she could meditate on God's peace and comfort. As I wrote her, the fragrance came. GLORY TO GOD! Listening to this beautiful song makes me think of my friend Gabriel Carpentieri who suffers from Crohn's disease and his dad William who suffers from Parkinson's diseases. So both of them have to carry their crosses and sometimes it's not easy for them but as Gabriel's friend, I pray for him and his dad. So I sincerely hope their diseases won't get any worse and hopefully their hearts won't be hardened any longer in the future and hopefully there's a miracle and a cure for them. Amen.

Se não fosse harpa dei, talvez eu não fosse quem eu sou. li um livro sobre uma oração , esta oração de Jesus. O livro comentava sobre padres que haviam ido à Grécia, padres russos. E fui lendo , lendo, lendo e achei uma canção sobre São Jose no meio das leituras. Harpa dei era quem entoava o canto ao pai de Jesus. Ouvir aquilo me fazia tamanho bem e eu conseguia vencer os obstáculos do dia a dia do trabalho pela paz espiritual. Mais de um ano depois mudei de função e então ouvi novamente a canção de São Jose e só então fui ver quem tinha tamanha beleza na voz. Ai descobri o Harpa Dei, então desde ali, eles me acompanham. Dia a dia eu trabalho e as canções embalam meu coração para ter forças para todas as adversidades, ter alegria para todos que me buscam e ter conexão com Deus para todo o momento. Obrigada Harpa Dei por exercerem sua vocação. Espero eu também estar honrando a Deus com o generoso talento que me concedeu.
