Because all they look at is regular season stats, not who is better in the playoffs. Teams like the Avs, Bruins, and Vegas usually wake up and play better in the playoffs, whereas teams like the Leafs and Jets usually choke.

Hockey has a very long meaningless season but every year the "experts" will make their picks and say something like well the Jets have got to be the favourites in this series they just beat Colorado 7-0! HAHA. Colorado is a great team. The Jets are the Jets.

Why assume they will. It has been 6 years and they refuse to address the issues with this team, a minor league blueline is what they have, ok when the pressure isn't on, and trash when it counts. GM is where the problems are since that is the guy responsible for addressing team needs.

I think I musta been the only one disappointed to hear a 7 year contract for Hellebuyck , the most unathletic goalie in the league that will just make himself look as big as possible and stay there, while others like BOB will stand on his head and dive at every puck, ones a Stanley Cup goalie one isnt.

Not a jets fan but Hellebuyck did not look right. He ended with a 5.23 GAA and a .864 save percentage. That is awful and not indicative of his game. He is a world class goalie.

They were happy he was “okay,” even though he did wind up going to the hospital When Sergachev was injured vs the NY rangers, same thing. The fans were quiet, but cheered in solidarity for him as they got him up and off the ice.

Get real. The Kraken suck and only won that series because the Avs were missing half their players. If they played the Avs this year they wouldn't have won a single game.
