We, as Catholics, celebrate Pentecost Sunday following the tradition of Shavuot. This is amazing as we see the Old Testament shadowing the coming to prophesy in the New Testament as Christ promised to be with us until the end of the world. Sending love and peace to my brothers and sisters

The Most High Yah said in Exodus 20:4 "“You shall not make for yourself a carved image-any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, YAHUAH your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments." Therefore, your worship of idols is an abomination to the living Elohim. REPENT!!! Worship YAH in spirit and in truth.

i read somewhere that this feast was not linked to the focusing on the giving of the law until after 140 AD. Is that an error> ? was in a messianic article

1:07 where in the written word of god is shavuot ever connected with the giving of the ten commandments? please show me as i have only heard it practiced by israelites upon the declaration of their rabbis. the prophecy of joel of the outpouring of the holy spirit was quoted by peter but nothing about the giving of the law. this is also the fulfillment of jesus' promise to give the holy spirit to empower believers in their walk in the way he should us to walk by. all of the appointed times of god points to what jesus had to do in history to regain what was lost in eden. the weekly sabbath is the end of all the annual commanded appointment times with god: eternal life with god in eternity.

**The Temple Feast of Weeks count to Pentacost started one week earlier than the DSS's Qumran communitie's Feast of Weeks. The Temple Day of Pentecost was therefore one week earlier. How do we know which one of FOUR different Feast of Weeks starting dates is correct for the Day of Pentecost ? The solution is in the SUM of the numerals in the eight Sabbath Day DATES of the count - starting the tally from Sabbath Day ZERO. The sum of the numerals in the CORRECT eight Sabbath Day DATES will add up to 49, thus confirming the Sadducees "Aristocratic method" of starting the count - from the weekly Sabbath Day ZERO in the Feast of Unleavened Bread. No other method gives this 49 day tally to the 50th Day of Pentecost ! ! ! This affirms the 18th Abib resurrection Sabbath and the 19th Abib start of the Exodus 40 years into the wilderness - after being taken out of the Egyptian pit through the Red Sea on the weekly Sabbath day ! The resurrection was on Sabbath day ZERO - the 18th Abib ! The 1st Sabbath after - the 25th Abib. The 2nd Sabbath after - the 2nd of month two. The 3rd Sabbath after - the 9th of month two. The 4th Sabbath after - the 16th of month two. The 5th Sabbath after - the 23rd of month two. The 6th Sabbath after - the 30th of month two. The 7th Sabbath after - the 7th of month three. 18+25+2+9+16+23+30+7= 130 1+3+0= 4 These 13 digits making up the Sabbath day dates, also add up to the 49 day tally to Pentecost on the 50th Day - the 8th of the third Biblical month on our 27th of May: 1+8+2+5+2+9+1+6+2+3+3+0+7= 49 ! 4+9=13 ! 12 disciples and Christ the 13th. 1:21 exodus timeline: from rameses to wilderness of sinai: exodus 12:37 nisan 15 exodus 19:1 sivan 1 arrival in rameses. moses went up to god; 19:8 moses went up to god second time; 19:9 sivan 3-4 consecration of israelites; 19:20 sivan 5 third day god went down on mt. sinai. that is only a total of 49 days. nowhere in the written word of god is the giving of the law associated with shavuot. this was also to be observed when they arrive in canaan 40 years later. by peter cited joel 2 prophecy of the pouring out of the holy spirit to have been fulfilled on shavuot. this is also the fulfillment of jesus' promise of his continued presence through the holy spirit when he goes back to the father to prepare the place for his followers. ditto in ezekiel 26 prophecy. all of the commanded annual appointed meetings of god with his people point to the work of jesus of restoring (annual moedim) what mankind lost in eden, ie., eternal life with god in eternity (weekly moedim, the seventh-day sunset to sunset sabbath), .
