I'm really glad they are getting the creature shop to work on this. CGI has really taken over everything now, and I'm glad they are going back to what they used back before there was CGI.

If the FNAF movie animatronics were CGI, I think I would've lost all interest. A core element of why these characters are so unsettling is *because* of their uncanny appearances, with CG I think all that would've been lost.
@ExtremeWreck2 жыл бұрын
@@SomeBoiOnline Nah I think the problem is that most people who use CGI don't really know *how* to make uncanny CGI work. Most of the time, they think it bogs down to 90s aesthetics. That ain't uncanny, that's just how CGI looked like back in the 90s.
@SomeBoiOnline2 жыл бұрын
I think uncanny CGI and uncanny valley are different things though, with the former meaning the audience won't believe it's real and the latter being something that is real, but looks somewhat disturbing.

When I first played toontown I didn't know what animatronics were, but when I saw the skelecogs I did some research on what Endoskeletons were, because I thought it was fantasy. Well I walked into a nightmare because it combined two things that spooked me. The unkillable skeleton and the unfeeling robot into one. Their perminant grins, expososed wires and open eyeballs was freaky to me. Luckily there isn't anything like chuck e cheese here but to this day endoskeletons still spooky me. Not as bad as they used to but its that uncanny-valley thing.

@SomeBoiOnline2 жыл бұрын
But it's literally a horror franchise with themes such as blood and gore, child murder and possession. The games are rated 12+. Scott Cawthon has stressed this many times to parents who allowed their children play them, before writing complaints when they were left traumatised etc. So whether you think it's led to the series' decline or not, it's simply fact that they were "never intended for children".

if the movie is Rated PG-13 and not Rated R I'm going to lose my crap. and not in a good way. basically, I would not have any expectations for the FNAF movie if it's PG-13. I guess those little kids would love the FNAF movie if it does not have any blood in it. just family friendly horror just like security breach. I'm very happy Jason is going to make the FNAF movie true and scary to its source material just like Scott and us wants it. a disturbing R rated horror movie. I'm not saying it should be like The Banana Split's Movie where the animatronics kill people in super bloody fashion, but I do want gory suit stuffing. I really do want to watch an R rated FNAF movie and get into the story. the characters seem likable if they are the actual ones.
