I don’t care what anyone says. Jimmy’s situation in Minnesota was different. He deserved all the money he was asking for there. Same thing in Philly. He should’ve got the money there too. On the court he was a difference maker. It’s not the same for the Heat. Jimmy’s been injured and is over 35. He has taken the Heat to 2 finals, yes. However, he’s no longer in his prime. It’s sad because I love Jimmy. I really hope he’s not out of the league in a year because he’s had to fight for every dollar every contract year.

Retiring Butler’s jersey is an absurd idea. He was on the team for barely 6 years (less than that if he is traded). Has zero rings, and only a couple all NBA awards. That should not become a standard. Throw in the burnt bridge with everyone a part of the organization. It would just be wrong.
