When you criticize someone that you pay so much attention to every detail of their performances, means you are looking at qualities you wished you had and can’t accomplish any of them. When you truly love yourself and know you are doing the best you don’t envy anyone. BTS is a talented, loving and hard working group, that is why they have the recognition of so many ARMYS. So instead of criticizing them, try thinking what changes you can make in order to feel better and accomplished with yourself.

Surf was 100% percent correct when they stated that one person can create an insecurity in another person. The reason why people push back against this is they believe that it's always malicious when most of the time it's completely accidental. Take the example Surf used as an example. It is not uncommon or wrong if a woman starts being insecure if their partner isn't showing them the same type of affection or attention after their body changers after giving birth. However, the man loves his woman the same. He's not able to give her that attention because a lot has changed in his life. Maybe his father was around so he's putting a lot of energy into boding with his child. He may be putting a little extra energy in his work because he does't want to raise his children in an apartment. All of this can lead to her feeling insecure and isn't anyone's fault. Also there isn't a person alive that is immune to insecurities. The issue is when people hold on to them too tight instead of dealing with them.
@MIracal092 жыл бұрын

BTS lowkey started in 2013 from a broke record label, no media push, and the entire Korean music industry trying to trip them up. They write nearly all of their songs (save for their English hits Dynamite and Permission to Dance since most of them don't speak the language. Group member RM wrote Butter) and also produce several of their tracks as well as tracks for other artists. Every member has solo work and three of them have solo mixtapes out that are fully directed and written themselves (Suga also produced both of his mixtapes). Finally, after 10 years of hard work, they are receiving a little bit of spotlight. I think they definitely deserve all of their recognition because they put in the grind and it paid off. Now y'all just hating to hate, with no good reason behind it :/

I can tell ish is smart. His take on Ukraine is a stance a lot of radical Black socialist hold and he reached it pretty much purely off the common sense of noticing contradictions in media.

@FreeTheColonized2 жыл бұрын
@@kirelessur432 it’s a lot but hear me out. Black Radical politics naturally progresses towards scientific socialism as an ideology (prime example Black Panthers). The contradictions in media i was referring to was media coverage on Ukraine vs let’s say Sudan for example. I said ish is smart because international politics is easy to follow exactly what American media presents and his take was likeminded to the analysis of Black scholars purely off using his common sense.

as a fan of BTS, I found the convo pretty interesting. I think the biggest mistake people have when it comes to BTS is that 1: they only make pop songs (they were lowkey a hip hop group in origin) and don't write/produce their music (cause they do) and 2: that they are a band that had an easy rise to the top (they're label was basically broke and only had BTS signed. All their success they built from the ground up)

Why listen to water downed black music when I can go straight to the source?
@lachi82422 жыл бұрын
@@dfwherbie8814, I listen to a lot of different artists, including a lot of black artists. If I enjoy the music, I'll listen to it. It's as simple as that lol. Also, BTS do a lot of different genres and they also add another layer of interest with their live performances, lyrics, and personality related content. That's one of the reasons that their fanbase is so big

@@lachi8242 respect to you. I just can’t get down with them. My issue is a personal one, there was a famous black comedian and actor in Korea named Sam Okyere. They cancelled him. I haven’t heard of him since. You know why they cancelled him? Because he condemned these high school Korean students on Instagram for dressing up in blackface. Lol he had to apologize to the Korean public for getting mad over blackface. And his career is still mostly finished at this point. So, I am not supporting any Korean doing poor black cosplay off principle. Because I’m black.

@@lachi8242 many Koreans in Korea are just a classic case of “love what blacks create, but hate the creators.” I’m not down with it.
@lachi82422 жыл бұрын
@@dfwherbie8814, I actually remember watching a documentary series on Sam and I think the way Korean netizens reacted was indicative of the underlying racism that is present in Korea against black people. With that being said, I don't think it's right to generalize every single person living in Korea. As for BTS, they have always been very open about their influences for their music and are always speaking highly of many black artists and recommending their songs during their live sessions (RM's biggest musical influence is Nas and his favorite album of all time is Illmatic). They even wrote a couple songs about it including a homage song called "hip hop phile."
