My hot take: Kendrick is still cool with J. Cole, but hates that he’s buddy-buddy with Drake If you see your homie with somebody grimey, both of y’all are the opp for his own good. Drake has been Dracula 🧛 for the better part of 15 yrs, biting whatever new wave is hot for his own relevance and survival, then bleeding them dry and moving on to the next wave… J. Cole has been killing it lately, but has been extremely vulnerable about being #3 in these rap conversations - then here comes Dracula Drake whispering in his ear saying he should be better, inflating his ego, bringing him on tour and bigging him up every night, doing records about being the best… with Cole not realizing his wave is being siphoned off by Drake little by little. I think Kendrick wants to get his friend away from that dude… Cole has to see that too many ppl in the industry don’t be liking Drake ain’t a coincidence, so pay attention to who your allies are

@tripleb1960 how so? I still don't think like that was enough to have made him jump out. His heart wasn't even in it.

This aged bad . Not only did Jcole drop the ball , he took back his diss . He didn’t want no smoke and now like that is better than what he dropped in the last few years.
@TheReelRapNerd5 ай бұрын
@WallstreetHussle didn't age bad at all. Cole shouldn't have fired back at like that period, which is why he walked away from it. And I disagree totally. Like that is a good verse bit Might Delete Later has plenty of verses better than that, Pi & Ready 24 being 2 off top.

If I was J Cole or Drake I would proceed with caution⚠️ Kendrick seems like he’s way too calculated a rapper to shoot at two top tier opps without a backup plan. He most likely has some omega level threats in the stash

@808ocelot69 ай бұрын
@@tdmidas289 I agree..out of the two of them it would be crazy for Cole not to say anything.. The stage is set for him to try to prove what he’s saying about being number 1, but proceeding with caution for Cole means being aware that his response needs to be super precise and deadly because Kendrick’s next diss might be crazier than this one

Overall you can't count the amount Drake songs that are better, Cole is more lyrical without societal substance like Kendrick. Kendrick has great music, but Cole & Drake have more. Kendrick has more classic albums than both with less material. But his style isn't everyday music

Kdot. is genius for addressing it so closely. It pressures Cole & Drizzy into spots they DO NOT want to be in. Now the lyrical talent and peace keeper in Cole has to choose violence to claim the spot that he essentially just says is has without a worthy adversary. As for Drake, he’s has to rap at someone directly who has a title just as prestigious as his while his opponent has the obvious upper hand in writing. Kendrick isn’t only good at creative narratives for albums apparently. Just when Russ was saying Rap music is over.
