My sister works for the Air Force as a contracting officer.... She recently met another co-worker and was completely shocked when she said, "I am a pilgrim, and my ancestor fell off the boat" John Howland is our ancestor. BLESSED

Great stuff here. I am teaching my kids Pilgrim history and John & Elizabeth are their 11th great grandparents on my wife's side. Having an ancestry connection to this great American story really makes it more personal and interesting for them. If America has an original First Family or royal couple, it is the Howlands for sure.

John Howland is my 13th great grandfather, this is amazing to watch, thank you. I have a geneva Bible that was handed down from 1604 where their names are signed as well their children. It has an inscription that says "follow God all the days of thy life". John had posed it down shortly before he passed away.

Doing some ancestry I discovered that I’m a descendant of John Howland on my maternal grandfathers side. His name was Joseph Baxter. Johns oldest daughter Desire married a Gorham then they had a daughter named Temperance and she married a Baxter and then it was Baxter all the way until my mother’s maiden name.

Just fyi....Some other sites have the picture of the painting of the couple as John Alden and Priscilla Mullins. I am a descendant of both of the couples and enjoyed your presentation but it should be nailed down if it is even possible.

As far as I know, there is a statue of a young Pilgrim teenage girl which is what I use to put a face to elizabeth Tilley. She is my 10th great grandmother

Wrong. Some of your history is wrong. The riverside home is gone but the basement exists with a newer house on it. It is the only house not facing the current street.
