How do i add some blocking in between the joist?

From our PlanSwift Training Lead, "I suggest conducting a fresh takeoff using the Segment tool to ensure accurate numbers for blocking. If this is a recurring task and additional materials will be frequently added, I'd recommend creating a Template for better efficiency."

Is there anyway to set a default color for joist?

Yes. Use the Joist Tool from the ribbon bar like we show in the video and set the color you want to use. Once created, right-click on the takeoff on the right panel and click "Copy" then go to your Templates tab and right-click again and select "Paste." From there on out, use the Joist Tool from the Templates panel instead of the ribbon bar and it'll always be the color you chose. If you want to change the color to something else permanently, just edit the template in the Templates tab. If you need help setting this up, reach out to training at 888-752-6794 Ext 4.
