Arguably, one of my favorite moments in this chapter is when Jodio is describing how despite being a delinquent, he's better off in a social standing than his usual class peers who are straight A students because the way he presents it isn't unlike the hilariously made Virgin vs Chad images, with the classmate even in the same head down walking position as the Virgin caricature, while Jodio takes on several "Chad" poses with over the top effects.

Very interesting how non-humanoid Jodio's stand is. Early forms of Tusk weren't that humanoid either, I suppose, but this feels much different. Jodio as a whole feels very different to his predecessors. Dragona feels like one big part 6 reference, with bits of Ermes' desgin, Annasui's androgyny, and Smooth Operators also seems vaguely similar to Diver Down with it's ability to alter objects. Also, Dragona's a really cool name. Can't wait to see how this heist will go completely wrong and kick-start the plot

An interesting coincidence I found was the connection between Bruno's stand name and Paco's ability. Sticky fingers is a phrase that describes someone who has a tendency to steal and Paco fits this definition as he loves stealing and his stand is primarily used for this. Considering the fact that Araki hasn't referenced Bruno in the new universe yet I'm holding out hope that Paco is the AU Bucciarati. I'm a big fan of experienced close combat fighters like Bruno who doesn't just rely on their abilities and this is getting into major speculation territory but Paco seems to fit this trope the most as his stand is deceptively simple and kind of underpowered like Sticky Fingers and he seem to be the most physically capable of getting into a fist fight because of his physique and confidence in his hand to hand combat skills shown when he challenged Dragona to settle their dispute by fighting.

Also, those little handy stands Dragona has are probably a direct reference to Mista's Sex Pistols. They have this bright color + are numeroted from 1 to (up to what i've seen) 6. This part is basically an AU Golden Wind, but basically characters aren't just idealistically kind, but more of a pragmatic based characters.

Dragona's stand is pretty incredible, as it seems almost an evolution of Joshuus and Josefumi's stands from the last part, as it can not only perfectly graft items together, it can also seemingly separate items that should not be seperable (the letters on a license plate arent seperate parts for instance, but rather part of one and the same object).

My theory is that rokakaka and rock people might possibly return because holly's plotline is not resolved yet. Another reason is because rokakaka was firstly discovered in a tropical island and while Hawaii is not that island they have similar climate to cultivate the fruit properly. So there is high possibility that japanese man might be Josuke to find the fruit. Another thing is that Jodio wants to be rich and a rokakaka costs 2000000$ which might push him to get involved with Josuke and the rock people.

Araki has said he already planned the story of Part 7-9 plus Araki has carried over previous plot lines before such as the origins of Stands. 2. A fruit that can heal the sick would go for a ton of money and Josuke would help Jodio find the fruit.

Stands are something that are in every part since they were introduced in part 3. They make up the world of jojo. Jojolion plotline has no reason to be in this part because this plotline specifically IS literally the PLOT of jojolion! How in particular would curing Holly at this point do for jojolands in plot relevance? That's a waste of time. Accept the fact that Holly condition is left up in the air. 2. Why in particular do you assume Gappy would help Jodio find this fruit? Why assume that Jodio won't find some other way to get rich? Why would Gappy even bother to help his random ass cousin to get rich in the first place? Also you're forgetting the roka has a huge risk involved unless they find some way to make it more beneficial by getting rid of the equivalent exchange there's no profit to be made from a logical standpoint.

It's a breath of fresh air to see Hawaii represented in a new manga particularly my favorite series and it's beautiful to see places I was born and raised illustrated to perfection by Araki. He clearly did his homework and even has Jodio refer to the states as "The Mainland" like we do.

I’ve gotta say, it’s truly otherworldly and a literary feat to be writing a series for 36+ years, and still make your series feel fresh & new + being able to have it be a mixed fusion homage of past events, taking place in an alternate modern present day as a reflection of our world. In regards to the story, this is just a prediction for now but I firmly believe it’s going to be Jodio making money off of these islands while being able to fully understand the mechanisms behind how everything in this Bizzare world works, and claiming them as “The JoJoLands” off of himself, and maybe even, to take it a step further, possibly have his stand November Rain Evolutionize itself to somehow connect to the original JoJos continuity. I can’t explain in detail how, but this is just a theory.

Idk about Higashikata family members being the japanese tourist. They specifically go to Hawaii as a family, so why would only one member be going over by themselves with an expensive diamond? The japanese tourist could be a rock human for all we know. If that's the case, any number of other rock humans could've hitched a ride through shipping containers, with the one on the plane simply transporting the diamond.

My theory for November Rain is that it solidifies “invisible” things. It doesn’t actually produce rain but takes the water present in the air underneath the stand and makes it solid. This would explain why the stand is so tall and lacks a bottom half. It would also make is stand much more versatile and present some clear weaknesses. For example, he could solidify other materials like viruses in the air and make them not only “visible” but also harmless by forcing them to the ground. But a weakness could be its small range (such as something high up in the air) and if something is already a visible thing (like bullets maybe.) Though this could be circumvented through the same process by using the solidified water to intercept said bullets. It could also be why the cops seem so maleable when hit, since the water in their bodies is also being affected and why they return to normal once the stand deactivates. It also ties into his main drive in the story regarding “mechanisms” and how he wonders if they can have “forms and shapes” much like stands are described at the beginning. Maybe November Rain could even make stands “solid” and visible to non-stand users, or even one of these “mechanisms.”

Not that it really matters, but I like to think that Dragona uses Smooth Operators to alter their body. Jodio mentions that he has never seen Dragona get their injections, so I assumed that they used their stand on themselves. This makes sense considering Smooth Operators' Diver Down-like ability that changed the police officers face. Perhaps there will be some Harry Potter scenarios where the characters will have to change their phenotypic appearance to blend in or sneak in somewhere.

This could of course be Araki not planning ahead (which is likely) but it could also be a case of a daughter from an affair that got brought in the family. Also, notice that the family tree in Jojolion was in an official book, and the family tree in Jojolands is (apparently) in Jodio's mind.

I’d personally say the discrepancy is down to the time the jojolion family tree was made, as Barbara Ann is MUCH younger than Holy, so it’s possible the family tree was made before Barbara Ann was born. I just looked at the wiki and it said the family tree was part of a revised 1989 version of “the steel ball run complete record” which means this family tree is dated between 1982 (the latest date on there) and 1989 (when the book came out) This does leave a bit of wriggle room, as dragona was most likely born in 2005, Barbara Ann was probably born during or before 1987, so either the family tree wasn’t updated for the 1989 revision or since the joestars are a distant branch of the higashikata family, they didn’t think adding the 2 year old Barbara Ann was that important I’d doubt that Joseph cheats, as it feels plausible that Barbara Ann wouldn’t be on the first family tree but doesn’t feel very likely that they wouldn’t show that Barbara Ann was born from an affair in the specifically made joestar family tree Idk maybe I’m biased in favour of Joseph being a good person lmao

Regarding Dragona, I really think he is a representation of the Hawaiian "third-gender" which, if I remember correctly, are also called "Flower Men", which would would explain the flower crown he uses, and his name also being a reference to the dragon flowers (Antirrhinum) which are also called Dragona or Draconia in some languages. What makes my theory go down the gutter is simply that, if I'm not misremembering, Flower Men can only be the last male from a female-less group of children, and they usually take the roles that are usually expected from women, just as taking care of their parents. And, as you can see in the comic, Dragona is the older brother here.

It’s interesting because not only has Araki changed people but the personalities. OG Josuke struggle with his family life and being abandoned. It just wasn’t hitting as hard as it did to Gabby/fumi. What I’m noticing is that the personalities and interactions are more important this go around. Rock humans made the stone mask make more sense. It actually involved itself in the idea of how the powers come to be. Instead of araki constanlty realizing what he could do and adding more. He just straight up infusing things into each other. So to me Jodio is both giorno and Jotaro combined. People need to realize that Jotaro is a delinquent. The first thing he does when you find him in a police station is he cussed out his own mother. Lmao so yea Jodio has Jotaros personality with giorno ambition.
