Saw Jon live in 93' at The Roxy with Aimee Mann. He was throwing down on an ESP Strat through a Matchless and I was decimated. They did a cool version of The Korgis and he was doing these weird jazz inversions that sent me back to the drawing board. In fact, everything he did and the way he did it was just mind boggling.

Jon, have you ever heard of a Technics KN6500 work station? I have been using it for years and when I remember what you were doing in jr. high, this workstation would have helped you with all your organization of musical creations. Jon Brion is incredible, of course. Something has been driving me nuts, though, and I'm hoping someone can help me- what is that mystery song he plays during the 90s medley? It's probably something obvious, but I'm not up to 90s music too well. I recognize Nirvana, Beck, and Semisonic, just can't figure out the other tune.
