You're expecting more but I already don't know how much more you want them to give. Their new music has actually developed and matured, what with the addition of horns/brass like LVATT and old school blues/soul, dance sound they've always had, but now more refined.

Actually they have always written for themselves, before they even got picked up by Disney. You're obviously not a fan but I feel the need to tell you to get with the program..? They left Disney & Hollywood Records like a year ago. And you've probably not heard Nick/Joe's solo albums, nor seen Joe's Just in Love MV.. there's no 'clean', 'pure' image. First Time also has life experience. Just look at the lyrics. If you don't know what the song is about, or even guess what it's about based on the lyrics... the title says it all. I don't understand how you can say Pom Poms is not lyrically great based on 30 seconds. Instrumental wise the beat and horns go well together.
