I read comics (because it was a serial comic) about ballet as a kid, and the comics showed that even grown man (or men) does ballet. I mean just because ballet is beautiful (hence the "feminine" label, I think?), doesn't mean that it's only for females (The truth is, I can't dance. Any type of dance, let alone doing ballet, so I do have respect for dancers out there, knowing how much they train)

The people who are astounded that Tom Holland can dance are probably the same people who were surprised that Hugh Jackman could sing . . .
@gsolomonla2 жыл бұрын
And Dance! Just saw Hugh in The Music Man and he is just multi-talented. Yes, he can sing, but his dancing skills far exceed his great voice. At 53 years of age, the man had the energy of and was the technical equal of every skilled, acrobatic, dancer on the stage that were half his age and younger. If anyone wants to see a show and a performance you’ll always remember, and that of his co-star, also brilliant, Sutton Foster, see that show. People like Hugh and Tom, who play hyper masculine roles or super hero’s, are playing a vital role in removing this stigma about dancing, especially with men, conveying its discipline, difficulty, and athleticism. It takes just as much muscle and core strength to dance as any other sport, so they should show this to high school athletes, before someone fills their heads with misconceptions. They may end up respecting the classmate they would normally bully. That’s how I see it anyway. Exposing kids to the arts at the earliest of ages would make society kinder, more civil, and happier.

@chooseyourpoison5105 Жыл бұрын
@@jasmineh.3002 True, but my point was more about being well known inside certain spheres but unknown outside of it. For instance, I am Australian and Hugh Jackman was a famous musical theatre star here for many years; I have a quiet giggle at Americans expressing astonishment that Wolverine can sing. Same with Tom Holland - he was well known in theatre circles as a dancer and actor - and yet we have people amazed that Spiderman can dance.

@erikasantillan9413 жыл бұрын
That's how he started his career. Dancing ballet. He was even in the dance musical Billie Eliot.

Probably because he also did ballet for years?

It’s amazing all the things Tom Holland has accomplished at such a young age - he did ballet, made movies, got awards, learnt carpentry and now he’s the lead of one of the most famous movie franchises. Also... He can do backflips in jeans 😂 I wish I was so athletic! I feel so lazy at his side! 🙈 I bet all those boys who bullied him in school because he danced ballet are sooooo jealous now 😈 Take that, bullies! To think that if they had become friends with him, they might have met Stan Lee or attended Tom’s movie premieres. I read Tom took a friend to have dinner with Stan Lee

The couple good friends he has from childhood are still his friends. At least one lives with him. Despite his fame he's still a seemingly normal regular good guy.

Actually any dance discipline can impress girls, and I say this as a 34 year old straight dude who did a lot of dancing in Middle & High school (I never had formal training, but I am a natural born dance talent). You don't really need ballet to impress a girl, if you're good at Hip-hop, Jazz, or even K-pop dance (which I do), that alone can attract a lot of girls to a guy just because of that dancing talent.

Okay even I’m a dancer and I still call them spins because if I use the terms fouettés or pirouette people would be so confused. And most ballet dancers call them spins or turns

I love when he says the word Honest or Honestly. He is generally and honest and genuine person. No wonder people like being around him. Talking to someone who is completely honest is quite amazing. Obviously everyone has secrets, but other than that he is very open with his conversations with people.

He’s right, dance is an international language. I love that sentence
@mdo72 жыл бұрын
It's not only an international language. Dance is used in mating. I mean several birds, and insects used dancing to attract their mates. And guess what, most of the birds and insects that dance to win mate are male. So dancing can be used to win a girls' heart. I mean there are scientific evidence that if a guy dance really well, then that male dancer can win a lot of girls heart.
