How I get abbey Road orchestra library

That’s a great sounding track and it highlights ARO 1st Violins really well. I’d love to know what brass library you are using, as it sounds really spacious and leaves space for the rest of the ensemble.

Hello, thanks for your comment! It is a combination layer of VSL Synchron Brass, Strezov Brass and Cinebrass. Trumpets are from Abbey Road One and Cinematic Studio Brass. It is mostly a room and balance work here. I use Liquidsonics Cinematic Rooms pro for my room hall, and their Seventh Heaven (Bricasti M7 emulation) for the tail.

Great track. Really love everything about it except the sound of the violins, no fault of yours of course. I felt that the Violins struggled to sing a bit, you had to double them up just to make them feel emotional, which works for this track, but in my opinion, the ARO First Violins lets down this track a bit.

Thank you Sam. I personally decided to go for an "in context" composition demo, so I decided to double it with Flute or Guitar for some parts because it suited the track overall vibe; I even turned the Vibrato down on some parts. I don't really think that it generally needs to be doubled. I just didn't want to make a really ARO centered track with only strings or else. I'd say that the library is really great and complete, the "Section Leader" mic position is kinda insane I gotta admit. The main debate is the price and the separated sections. Considering the Abbey Road One loyalty discount, it was the maximum budget I could put into a strings library, and since it was Abbey Road, I went for it. For the moment I don't think that ARO 1st Violins is a must have by itself, but considering the other sections that are coming and the intro loyalty price, I just can't wait for the other sections to release. (Also won't be recommending those if you are running on a PC with -32Gb RAM.) If you don't want to put budget into it or just can't, it's not a BIG deal; Pacific is still very good, but not as complete, also the recording, mixing and the shorts are better by far on ARO. Definitely don't regret this purchase, as opposed to some other Spitfire libraries, also gotta admit that this time, they added the Legato OFFSET knob, and release on every patch/mic, and the round robins are consistent (which is far from being always true with Spitfire), it reminded me of ARO Trumpets shorts, that are amazing.

Spitfire has gone mad. After the initial Abbey modules for about $49 it was fine. But $449... for a single string section? (On top of Low and High percussion for the same prices?). No way. No how. You can make great music just as you have before without these obscenely priced sections.

Can agree on the price, still this series is more pro-centered than their other libraries. Considering that Spitfire products always get huge promos, + EDU discounts, + loyalty price for Abbey Road One owners, I think that’s alright. Don’t think anyone will buy it at full price.
