Thank you mate. I'm finally... finally feeling strong again. Couple of months and I should be up and running like I used to.

Box jumps were the most feared exercise at my gym... so many of us had bruised or bloody shins from missing the height. But man, when you nailed it, you felt like superman! It's great to see your progress! I'm 4 weeks away from my first 50k after years of sporadic running and injuries. I'm looking forward to scaling it back a bit over the winter, before ramping back up in the spring. I like what you said about focusing on shorter distances for a few months. After my ultra that's exactly what I'll do, thanks!

I hate the wooden boxes. I had to spend the money and get soft boxes for that reason. Wow 4 weeks :) exciting! What race are you doing and what's your plan for next 4 weeks?

@@TrailRunningWales I chose the easiest ultra I could find. Lol It's called The Hamsterwheel, in New Hampshire. It's a mostly flat gravel 4 mile out and back to a fairground, where everyone sets up their own aid stations, tents, etc.. There's a band, fire, restrooms, and a screened mess hall with tons of food, and they're making big efforts to keep it all covid safe. I've got 12 hours to hit 50k, so I'm going to take a few longer breaks to enjoy the atmosphere and rest. I signed up for vert.run, an online training plan, and my awesome coach is customizing my training for the race. My progress in the last 2 months is insane, and I've got another 2 weeks or so before taper, so I'm just following my plan and crossing my fingers! Lol

Sounds perfect. I like the idea of doing an ultra on a looped course, maybe over 12 or 24 hours. It'll be a fun atmosphere.

Yep. I hate training the winter, it's so hard to motivate myself to go out and train, let alone film as well. Spring will be here before we know it.

Really enjoying your videos Cameron 👍 ever considered that your knee issues may be linked to your footwear? Those chunky hokas are super unnatural for your feet/ankles/knees/hips.

Definitely. And I'm going to grab something different for my next set... just to see if it makes any difference one way or the other. The biggest discomfort is still from squatting though, time will tell :)

Correct Chris. It was the final climb in my SW50 race last year. I hated it at 3am
