The Joy and Ecstasy of Nick Cave: “Wild God” analysis

Nick Cave and the band's late career output has been nothing short of stellar. I've thoroughly enjoyed every album since Push The Sky Away. Anyways, great video.

Nick Cave brought me here. You were amazing to listen to. I really loved your personal stories and how those connected to this album. I'm a long-time Nick Cave fan too. Something you missed to mention (maybe you weren't aware of) is that this is the end of his mourning trilogy. Bad Seeds were at the studio writing and recording their Skeleton Tree album when Cave's son died. This impacted the direction of that album greatly. Some songs are unrelated but some are really dark, clearly related to his son's death. Next album, Ghosteen, is fully about his mourning process. And Wild God, as you explained, is about Joy and love. I feel the themes are Death (Skeleton), Spirt (Ghost) and Love (Joy). I don't think there has ever been a set of albums that cover the loss of a loved one with this kind of intensity and intimacy.

Brighton. Fulham is a good team too, but Brighton has a young new couch, youngest ever in the league, who approaches the game in an interesting way. I'd suggest also following Manchester City, Arsenal, or Liverpool as well. Give yourself a team who will have success, but aren't guaranteed to win. Personally, I'm an Arsenal fan. GUNS UP, BABY! Fellow American, btw. Manchester City is like the Yankees or Brady era Patriots. Clearly the best, obvious league winners, but they also cheat and have a reckoning coming for their violations they've been caught on
