Not being negative…but really want to know. I say this verse over and over and over but I have never experienced the truth of it in reality. I love the Lord with all my heart and have been a born again Christian for many years. I believe all scripture is God’s Word and is 100% true, yet I do not experience this “strength” Paul speaks of. At 73 years old, recovering from cancer and many other ailments, I cannot find the strength to even do my daily chores much less get out and serve the Lord. What am I doing wrong? I need this strength Paul speaks of.

Reminded that our reason to rejoice is God Himself. Rejoice 'in the Lord'. Rejoice in Him alone. May He be our only source of and reason for joy. A bit like if I boast in anything I will boast in the death of Jesus Christ. Beautiful.

See at 10:39 it almost seems like he's saying Paul is really happy, but that's not the definition of joy we got at the beginning. Paul is Greatly aware of grace in prison. It doesn't say he's super happy to be there. Sometimes life sucks, and we're gonna be miserable, but that's *ok* for we are greatly aware of grace and all that God has done for us.
