I’m so sorry for your loss, Tori. When I was in my early 20s, I lost both of my paternal grandparents - my grandma passed first, followed by my grandpa a few years later. Mourning their loss was hard enough, but what made it even more emotional was seeing how deeply it affected my dad. He’s typically very stoic, so watching him break down in tears and express his grief so openly added another layer of heartbreak to an already painful experience. I’m praying for healing for you and your family.

Condolences to your family over the passing of your grandmother. Losing a loved one is always hard, especially during the holidays. Parents are their children’s teachers/example. As the children get older, especially in the teenage years, they will place a higher priority on electronics (phone and gaming) and it will be much harder to control that aspect of their lives if they were taught otherwise by their parents. I see it all the time in restaurants. I don’t think there is anything more sad than to see parents on their phones when they could be engaging with their children. Being present is one of the greatest gifts you can give your children. Glad you feel the importance of this while your children are young. God bless!

Tori I used to work for hospice for over 19 years it's a wonderful thing when you can have them in your house. I'm now on palliative care which is what your grandmother had when she wasn't on direct hospice. I've gone from being on direct hospice to going back to palliative care at this point. Once I get bad again I will go back on to direct hospice again I know how hard this is for you to understand but it is a wonderful company to deal with and to have that support in your home in your time of need is a wonderful thing honey I pray for you and your family

our hospice experience recently with my mom in home wasnt really great nor with dad 10 yr back. maybe hopefully to my parents it was good but for us the care givers not so great. Maybe it depends on which one. Both same area one for profit one not.
@sherrileeslade655711 сағат бұрын
I am so sorry to hear that. I worked for hospice for over 19 years and we gave 100% to all of our patients and families. I worked just North of Boston and the Boston Massachusetts area. I loved all of my family and showed them the utmost respect. Our office also did a lot of follow-up care with the families as far as bereavement and so forth. I guess it really does go to show it is within each company because I'm on hospice now and I find it very hard to deal with the hospice company that I'm with they are nothing like the company I worked for. I have gone from full-time hospice Care to palliative care and they are very different from the hospice care that I worked for. So I do understand Tori's issues with them. I truly feel for her and send her and her family my love and prayers

@@sherrileeslade6557 wow u used do hospice now ur on it. i wish I knew what to say. I do wish u would get the care you gave , it sounds like u were wonderful at it. thanks for replying and interacting in here. I should say there was one nurse aide who was great with mom for the little time we got care givers she offered to do work off job other hours which we pd her for. And once a sweetheart came in the night was very kind to all of us . But in general it all seemed business and busy folks. follow up has been next to nill I'm have to pay for counseling on my own. Anyway thanks for caring for so many I truly hope you receive it back .

Happy 2025 Zach & Tori! Welcome back! So sorry for the loss of your Grandma, Tori. Prayers for your family🙏🏻🤍 I'm not a fan of resolutions either, but I think mine is to read less "News" and focus more on God's words because it's been SO overwhelming for the past few years.. my cup needs to be filled UP now, so that is what I'm focusing on. & Y'all must be having a similar "Winter" as we are here in South Central Alaska! Which is actually NOT Winter at all... It's been rainy, warm and we've barely had 5"of snow this winter, 😮 last year we had 60" already by this date.. just whacky, and I'm not a fan at all. We're ALL just waiting for this huge DUMP of white Snow to FINALLY be here! Haha I'm excited for your next podcast already.... have an amazing weekend and stay blessed. ✝️🙌🏻🌌♥️

I am totally in love with you guys view of life and living! Obsessed I am! And those kids...oh my goodness are they totally adorable! ❤ About Hospice, here in South Africa a person is admitted near the end of their life. If they don't die within a specified time (last I knew it was 3 weeks) they can no longer stay in hospice as it is a place for dying. Therefore its not a graduation per sé but more that your life extended longer than the doctors thought it would. This may sound harsh but it is end-of-life care, palliative care, not a hospital. Prayers to you all for your healing with granny's passing. Rest sofly in the arms of Jesus gran of Tori ✨🕊️

I think we forget that Zack is a twin. He was born with a friend. Especially since they were twins, they probably shared friends. I think that in this era of your lives, it’s a little bit of a balance struggle. You have to work on your relationship with your spouse, you also have to be a very present parent. You have to raise a family. And find a best friend, that’s a lot.
@ct685212 сағат бұрын
Kind of have to leave expectations at the door when people are busy and tired. And just be willing to pick the relationship back up wherever you left it. And accept what is.

My father passed away on 12/19/2024 and my dad's side of the family celebrated Christmas on 12/22/2024 on what would of been his 83rd birthday. I couldn't see anybody on Thanksgiving, because I was contagious and didn't want to give something to my family, so I didn't go. The last time I saw my dad was on Father's Day. Like you Tori, I am the only one that takes pictures of the get togethers I get to go to. My stepmother and father were married for 35 years. Will you pray for my stepmother, because she's not doing to well. I did post the Christmas get together, but no pictures of the funeral.
