This is an amazing dialogue , more than a conventional interview in the accepted sense. I am fascinated at the candidness of the Acharya and the the immediate , intellectual, emotional and spiritual rapport both the interviewer and interviewed hit right at the outset. More important is the enormous width and depth of issues that came up and how both entered into it , and what could have other wise been a political quagmire, but neither got caught in mediocrity. Even the solutions offered were absolutely practical and Swamijis modernistic views consistent with resuscitation of Dharma and Sharddha . Those who have seen politics and administration, for a long time from within, this is an eye opener. Particularly the critique of Muzzarai controlled temples, how Indian society has become indolent in respect of Dharma . Most interesting was Swamijis obvious criticism of Lingayats claiming a separate religion by going into the roots of Lingayata roots. The primacy of ONE India, one umbrella of Dharma and one nation in terms of many Sampradayas . Very fascinating was the discussion related to Western Methodologies of studying Sanskrit , and Swamijhis fascinating reply rather criticism of how Indian scholarship has become indolent. One of the most interesting/important thing that I have noticed in all of the shankacharyas interviews is the proposal by each of the shankaracharya that rashtra neta always had a guru as a dharma guide. They said each of the Indian Kings in our history always had one guru that they would talk to, to understand the various dharmic angles on various issues. This is what we are missing today (Dharma drishtihin rashtra).

Why none of the Sangkaracharials are proactive like the 1st Sangkaracharial. They should be travelling around to propagate the dharma and unite the Hindus. To protect the Sanatan Hindu Dharma, It's high time that the Shankaracharya from 4 Peethas should n must meet together first, crate a frame work to regulate all the existing temples, rituals, customs and spiritual n religious educational institutions covering all Sampradayas, to create a systematic training program including Purva Paksha and Uttar Paksha, monitor and make necessary changes as required for temple staff, especially the head priest to serve the community but also to represent Sanatan Dharma in local, national and international religious n interfaith conferences, seminars and workshops more effectively and strongly.

All those who are sceptical of the Swamiji. Do please go and have Their darshan in Kanchi. As you keep going, slowly it will dawn on you, just what They are. They are not human. They hide their real nature, like Amba does, She is called "ThiroDhaana kareeshwari" One who hides Her real swaroop from us. I first went for darshan 10 yrs back with a lot of scepticism. Now I am their willing slave. So many many times have they saved me from calamities, knowing even before it happens and guiding me. One eg. My husband - adult onset type 1 diabetes, 400 - fasting levels, not taking treatment, out of fear of blackouts while driving in U.S. Without treatment for Four Whole years and not listening to any pleading from me or parents. He was becoming so weak right in front of my eyes. Unable to take it anymore. When I went for Darshan , I only said ' Mujhse nahi ho raha" Nothing else. Swamiji said, everything will bcome alright. Came back to U.S., and in just one month, my husband, all by himself, came and said, "Shall I visit a doctor?" I had not even broached the topic!!!!!! Now on medicine and insulin, also exercising every dy and very stictly following diet and not having sweets, all his decision. What can I say!!!!

Hi, At the beginning of the interview Swamiji mentioned about Gulbarga and the charity done there. However, i defer to say that the temples particularly the Sharanabasappa temple has closed its "dasoha" i.e. the langhar hall where free food was given on a daily basis for more than few decades. Donations in the form of cattle and grains are given to the temple even today by the farming community after every harvest season and no one know where this is going.

Growing disinterest in religion across world is due to lack of exposure from early childhood and lack of genuine religious leaders to propagate wisdom. Current educational system is churning out career-oriented ambitious machines without the foundation of dharma(ethics). Governments are encouraging distorted secular values of vested interests. Religious leaders are busy furthering narrow interests of their faith even at the cost of another. Our collective cultural identity is being divided in the name of "religion". The same thing happened with Sikh, Jain, Buddhists and now they'll do it with Nagasadhus, Maheshwari, Sai baba followers and more...Idiots. Stop with your stupidity. We are Hindus - it's cultural identity. We didn't believe in religion crap and we follow are own dharma. Dharma is not a religion, spiritual practices or prayers are individual faith NOT a religion. It's a stupid concept with exclusive god, heaven, hell, one scripture and all that non-sense. Hindus follow and don't follow whatever they want - it's called a secular culture. They want to generalize our civilizational heritage, history and knowledge as myths or religions. Redefine the constitution and the word Hindu of its original meaning and not the religious non-sense. Me saying "Hinduism" is saying "Americanism", and "Jainism" is as much a religion as "veganism" in America. These are communities of people with a shared history of guru-like Mahaveer Jain or Guru Nanak, not an exclusive religion. Western concept of secularism is a failure since it recognized "religious identity" and stupid concepts like "conversions" for a cult-like system. Bring back Hindu Rashtra and it's the concept of person faith/practices, no religious identity, no organized machinery of Abrahamic cults - true secularism!

Sir, Do please go and have Their darshan in Kanchi. As you keep going, slowly it will dawn on you, just what They are. They are not human. They hide their real nature, like Amba does, She is called "ThiroDhaana kareeshwari" One who hides Her real swaroop from us. I first went for darshan 10 yrs back with a lot of scepticism. Now I am their willing slave. So many many times have they saved me from calamities, knowing even before it happens and guiding me. One eg. My husband - adult onset type 1 diabetes, 400 - fasting levels, not taking treatment, out of fear of blackouts while driving in U.S. Without treatment for Four Whole years and not listening to any pleading from me or parents. He was becoming so weak right in front of my eyes. Unable to take it anymore. When I went for Darshan , I only said ' Mujhse nahi ho raha" Nothing else. Swamiji said, everything will bcome alright. Came back to U.S., and in just one month, my husband, all by himself, came and said, "Shall I visit a doctor?" I had not even broached the topic!!!!!! Now on medicine and insulin, also exercising every dy and very stictly following diet and not having sweets, all his decision. What can I say!!!!
