Kualoa Ranch is such a spiritual place. There have been 8 or 9 generations of the same family who has owned it. This is one place where the people take care of the aina (land) and the aina will take care of them.

What is the best way to get to the ranch from waikiki?

Drive yourself or take a taxi. It is 45 minutes from Waikiki. There are many tour companies that provide transport too.
