Man wants total custody of the children but doesn't want to pay sufficient upkeep and they are also too young to be with him. All these dosent work with the Nigerian constitution. 6)My Conclusion; Though this marriage would never be adviced to happen, for the sake of the innocent children, this people need to be put under relationship counsellors so they can know how to take care of the children together. If not, after leaving the court, lot of this issues would still reoccur.

They usually dump them with their mothers because of their sheer laziness and inability to take of another person. It's best those kids remain with their mother. The judge has acted like a typical middle class Nigerian woman who have unrealistic expectations of their partners. The root to the high corrupt society of Nigeria and also why more Nigerian men are dating foreign women. Its a sad story that's playing out ever so often in the nation. The man is expected to provide foe the family but in a society with high unemployment stats no one is asking how the man is expected to meet his responsibilities. In other to fulfil the 20k being demanded of him without examining his source of income if he decides the only way available to him his criminal ventures what will the judge do then. The nation where accountability is not considered is demanding 20k from a man who said his source of income is not stable. Well if he happens to stop any one of you members of the public on the road at night to demand the 20k for his kids so not be angry. It is the judge that dis not consider his source of income that is to be blamed. But ultimately its the man's fault for shagging a lady with no prior thought for how he would cope should she get pregnant. This is what happens to 90% of men in these parts. They let life happen to them. But of course the same goes with the women also not considering what the man does and how much he earns should she get pregnant for him. It's the financial fallout that reveals the cracks of most relationships unfortunately.

They broke the golden rule, 'do not taste the cake until you have done the date'. once u break the order you are in for a lifetime of wahala. The order is Date, Court, engage, marry, make babies (if you desire children). trying to do it the other way round, 99% of the time does not work out right. my take. if the guy and lady are single and available, i think they should seek each others forgiveness, and give it another try for the sake of the children, in the proper order, without the interference of relatives, but with some good marriage counselors or mentors to guide them, they may still be able to salvage this relationship. Something attracted them to each other, there may still be an ember of hope. Tough situation, but Judge Funmi came to a wonderful decision.

Can he change diaper , wake up at night to feed kids ? Can he cook , wash kids clothes, take them to school etc Or you think raising a child is just about dropping money ? You want the kids to be handed over to him and he goes to drop them off at his parents house or get a house girl to raise them when their mother is alive ? How cruel can you be ! This is how kids are molested and nobody cares or knows. Your parents or sisters have no right to raise your child when their mother is alive . Give those kids to him he will drop them off with his mom or sisters or aunt this or aunt that.
