Such an incredibly beautiful area, stunning visuals of the setting sun and the lions resting. The Kambula pride are looking good and its especially interesting seeing the young male still comfortable within the pride. Loved the close ups of the buffalo, and that the young ones were staying close to the adults. Another awesome video MalaMala, thank you guys.

I've never understood why buffalos are so fat when they only eat grass. They are huge. I also find it amazing how their horns grow from the skill itself. I definitely have it on my bucket list to vacay in Africa and experience seeing these animals in real life.

I don't fully understand why the lions don't come after them in that open jeep, because if they stepped out of it they would be meow mix.

I guess it got too dark to see the end of this. At least initially, the herd didn’t take the bait. If one had chased the lion, then the remainder of the pride could have tried to isolate it, tire it out and then make the kill. They will have a better chance at night of isolating one or two buffalo.

I would think the lioness' would know a baby buffalo is not enough meat to feed their large pride. I know lions are opportunists but I've seen a large pride kill a baby buffalo before and don't understand why they waste their energy on that verses a full grown buffalo.. Just being curious..

There is a audio book on u-tube called the white hunters,, its 2 part, each about 7 hours long,, its about the white hunters in British east Africa and German East Africa,,,, really interesting stuff,,, they say the life of a white hunter back then was 7 years,,, Nairobi was like the USA's wild west,,, what some cool stories,, some of them guys went down Hard,,, Bill Judd being one,, Fritz Shindler another, RIP , what a cool book
