I mean, after literally bullied and almost send him to hospital in the park scene, I understand why he respected Dre after his lost. Cheng belittled Dre at the beginning of the tournament, and was teasing Dre by staring at him. This just shows that he was never bad for the sake of it, but Jojo's master influenced them both to act that way.

Little kids doing full contact with a crowd of adults cheering it on. Wow. And they had to come up with something bigger then the crane kick was this crazy impossible stunt really the best they could come up with.

To me, this was the better Karate Kid movie. And one reason is that it goes off Kung Fu, which can be hard to become a master of, and is used in almost everyday life.
