How has no one mentioned that the real villain in the karate kid universe is Tommy? He sadistically points out Ali/Daniel to Johnny KNOWING it will set him off. Cobra Kai reveals that he obviously spent his whole youth jealous of Johnny which explains his sneery expression and how he jumped at the opportunity to rub salt in the fresh wound of Johnny's breakup with Ali. Years later, him revealing how he loved secretly was loving Ali the whole time explains his motivations. Also notice how he and Dutch egg Johnny on to escalate the physical violence on Daniel in this scene as well. I don't expect most people to get this because Tommy's movements are a lot more covert and go under the radar which is why people neglect to see him as a villain. But he has my vote for the true villain. Everyone else's movements (though rash and irresponsible) are somewhat understandable in the heat of the moment. Tommy was a sadist demonstrated throughout the WHOLE film from the very start all the way down to "get him a body bag" when Daniel was taking a beating in the final scene lol.

I mean, I don’t see how that’s true. In Season 3 of Cobra Kai, neither he nor Daniel blamed her for *their* rivalry. They both admitted some fault in their rivalry. In this scene, she had already broken up with Johnny, and he wasn’t ready to move past her. She also didn’t ask Daniel to butt in like he did. Johnny should have listened to Bobby when he said, “Come on, man, forget it. It’s ancient history.” Words of wisdom, really. No wonder Bobby grew up to be a pastor.

If anyone suggesting its 'none of Daniel's business' and think its OKAY to harass women, well, you have problems, but he doesn't intervene. Just observes. Two, he then BREAKS her radio.. Destruction of property. Three, all Daniel did, is walk over and grab the radio, then Johnny really gets angry. Grabs and then pushes Daniel. Then picks a fight with him.
