@@ventimain6546 True! I just saw this video immedietly after finishing the new season and that stuck out to me. Silver seem's like he actually wants to make a difference. While he is currently being a nut, you can argue that its Kreese bringing it out of him and he just !SPOILERS!: expelled his weakness. Maybe silver wants to make a difference, but he has to go through a nut phase in order to give us another season. I could see at the end of this season (assuming its a final season) that there is going to be some type of reconciliation between the 2 and this scene is going to flashback. Just my 2 cents though. At least in the gta verse. Daniel was glazing for Mr. Miyagi. While Johnny does respect Mr. Miyagi and calls him a badass. More so than Kreese. It shows that Johnny was more respectful to Miyagi than Daniel was. It took until long for Dutch to admit that Mr. Miyagi was badass. Until when he saw Miyagi’s final letter and read that he doesn’t mind waiting until Dutch learns and by then, he’s gone. And also the death of Johnny Lawrence, made him become the better man. Filling the void where Lawrence left off. Even honor Miyagi’s legacy to honor Johnny’s legacy by extension. And also Dutch respected Kreese and by then, Kreese was killed by poison from Terry Silver. Dutch honors Kreese’s legacy as well.

The irony being that it was originally going to be one of the *final* scenes of the first KK movie. But the makers rightly decided it was anticlimactic and so instead wrote it into the sequel. With the vastly inferior Will Smith remake, they did much the same thing - there's a deleted scene featuring a fight between Jackie Chan and the antagonist's master at the end of the tournament. It didn't work there and it wouldn't have worked in the original KK either, but yes, it's a brilliant little scene, ties it into the original, reminds the audience of who is who, and gives us an immediate insight into Miyagi's character - which is crucial since in no small way KK2 is Miyagi's story as much as, if not more than, Daniel's.

I know it's a minor thing, but I love the cinematography, editing, and framing from 1:27 - 1:34. We get our attention focused on the argument by seeing it over Daniel's shoulder through the car window, and then the next shot has Daniel in the same part of the frame, but out of focus, with Miyagi in extreme close up and in focus, which immediately orients us to where he is and who we're now meant to focus on - i.e. Miyagi. And then at 1:38 we get a close shot on Daniel again, with part of the frame blocked by the pillar of the car so we can focus on Daniel's horror and surprise, and then the shot switches back again with Kreese and Johnny in the same part of the frame as Daniel was, closer up and getting more involved with the scene. Just a great piece of film storytelling in five or six shots.
