The BC Epilepsy Society's #KetogenicDiet webinar focuses on the use of the #ketogenic diet as a treatment option for people with epilepsy, providing a review of the different mechanisms of the ketogenic diet therapy, its clinical efficacy and side effects and more from the perspectives of a pediatric neurologist and a registered dietician who are using the ketogenic diet in their practice.
About the Speakers:
Dr. Linda Huh, MD, FRCPC is a pediatric #neurologist at British Columbia Children's Hospital who graduated from Medical School at the University of Ottawa and completed her residency in Pediatrics from Memorial University and completed two fellowships, one in Pediatric Neurology at the University of British Columbia and one in Epilepsy at Yale University. She is currently a #pediatricneurologist and the Director of the Ketogenic Diet Program at British Columbia Children’s Hospital.
Lawren Fischer, BSC, RD is a #registereddietician who graduated from the #Dietetics Program at the University of British Columbia. She is currently the Ketogenic Diet Program #Dietician at British Columbia Children’s Hospital.
