Hey tucker, I have a question. What are your opinions on Black Hawk paramotors? Do you have any experiences with them?

@That one guy If you go to the Soundcloud link in the description, I normally repost every song I use for videos. I also have a 'liked tracks' playlist of other music.

@Freshtilldeath56 My first paramotor was a Blackhawk 125 and the experience was not good. Lots of mechanical issues and eventually poor customer support. Other people love them, but based on my experience, I couldn't recommend them.

Here's a story you may find amusing (or not). I was in the USAF 1963-1967 and my job was survival techniques and equipment. I was stationed on on Guam (with 2 side trips to Nam) '65-'67 where the ocean breezes were constant. Launcheing B52's every night with five hours down time after the last one took off became pretty boring so I got the bright idea to take an old out of date chute, divide the risers in half and tie loops for hand holds and take it to the 40 acre open field behind our shop. Now I don't know if you've ever seen a military pilots chute open but their pretty damn big so when a big gust caught that damn thing and opened it up this dumb ass airmen found himself over 100' in the air hanging on for dear life. If the gusts hadn't died down one can only guess where I may have landed. After that when I got real bored (and it wasn't real gusty) I'd take a cute out back and fly one for fun. Guess you could say I started "kitting" huh? LOL *Dance the Skies*

Hey Tucker Connecticut guy here. Been a fan and subscriber for a long time, and I just want to say, I love this video! Last May I trained with Eric Farewell in Costa Rica, and by the end of the nine day course, I honestly left more frustrated than excited, but I ended up ordering a motor anyway that will arrive this Saturday. I was frustrated, because I felt like there was still a lot about kiting that I didn’t quite understand, and I feel like I really had a hard time keeping control of the wing even in the laminar beach wind. I’ve had a wing, for the last few months, that I’ve been kiting, and I hate to say it, but I learned more about how the wing reacts to the wind, and my inputs, by kiting it by myself than I can say I learned in training. Please don’t misunderstand this to mean that my training was not exemplary, because it was. What I’m saying is with all of the pressures in training to learn and absorb everything and then perform what you’re learning, I had very little success. But coming home in applying those fundamentals to my own wing without the pressures of being corrected by instructor or failing in front of my classmates, I actually became very comfortable in no time at all! - Anyway - be careful brother! Please don’t break your neck back flipping! 😜

Hi Tucker, Great videos always, I want to suggest that you create a series of videos where you show us the ground handling techniques in all wind conditions and then how to be safe in air, doing landings etc with motor off, show us how you will make decisions to choose your landing spots etc, also tell us how to read weather conditions, it would be a complete series on but may not be training videos just the way you make your existing ones. Keep up the good work.

Not me lol I learned to fly rc in the early 80’s way before simulators and no buddy boxes so I had to do the ole dad takes off gets so much altitude that you can barely see the plane or what it’s doing , hands you the tx and once you start getting disoriented or crashing yanks it back from you and tries to save it lol tons of fun. Took a year to solo but before I new it I spent most of the 80’s and early 90’s racing quickie 500’s, formula one’s and warbirds competitively all over the country before I joined the Air Force spent 20 years there and am just now starting I pick the hobby back up.

Lately, every single time I try to kite, no matter what the forecast, the actual wind condition is flat with random gusts from 5-10mph. I'm thinking of fly out to the Caribbean ahead of hurricanes in order to deflect them by attempting to kite.

Tucker, do you have a suggestion for a properly rigged trainer kite for ground handling practice? All of my trainer-sized wings have been specific to Kiteboarding, and those 3 line models are NOT appropriate to Paraglider practice. I might be able to handle my wing, but when showing friends how ground handling works, a 2-3 meter trainer would be better.
