Everything in life we need to allow time... making friends, getting trust, starting a business, starting something new, etc. with consistency!
@jessel88335 ай бұрын
Agreed. So many things are easy in concept. But, leadership is hard. It takes humility, patience, understanding, "consistency." Your employees needs before your own. Easy things, but hard to do day in, day out. You can loose trust, loyalty from 1-2 negative substantial interactions (such as, arguments, or blaming a team member for a failure -- instead of working through & approaching in a more positive learning-growth experience). Once that happens, it will take even more consistency to re-earn the loyalty, trust, faith that you have their back. Leadership involves many "easy" things. Just don't be too hard on yourself; because it can be harder than you realize in practice.

Very true. It is not only true for being a leader in an organization but also a good lesson if you are a father and a head of a family. Showing your kids that they matter is a great way to make sure that you matter to them when you grow old

I would like to hear how authenticity and leadership are correlated. This is, I had some superiors that tried to do small things but everyone detects that something is not right. And when “the bullets” came, they just have been discover that it was all fake. How does authenticity enters on the true values that we, superiors are there for our subordinates?

Going in to sci-fi here but there is relavence. In Battlestar Galactica, Lee Adama (Major) and his father are talking about Commander Garner and his father asks what Garners mistake was it was how he treated the Pegasus crew like "porky piece of machinery". Then Lee says "Command is about people" his father says "Remember that as you take command" and he promotes Lee from Major to Commander. 3 steps up in rank in the show fyi. I was like Garner to begin with, I learned to treat people properly and ask more shall we say nicer and casually. Only putting my foot down when I have to. I was taught this by me being an arse and the assistant manager at the time basically telling me to sort it out or I won't be a supervisor anymore. I did and held on to the position.

Great words Simon, but it would have looked nicer if you would have taken similar efforts to return back the phone (instead of even asking if one could catch and thrn throwing). When asking for it, you went way ahead; I would have felt the difference of behaviour in taking versus returning.

This is such a touchy topic. I am going to admit that I had my doubts who God was and often questioned if it was real until one day he has shown to me in my dreams and ever since I shout my mouth like a good studious student and never dared to question. I think God has to want to reach out to you and if he chooses to do so oh YES you would know. All I can say GOD is amazing and whoever come to know him they know what I am talking about. So bottom line don’t convince people into believing anything if they ask from their heart creator will reveal himself It can be through a dream, or other ways of encounters. You see your families who have passed on in a dreams with messages this is no different you feel their real presence as a reality it doesn’t even feel like it’s a dream. That’s how real God is

I don’t need anybody’s blood, sweat, and tears. Gross. Grow up, Simon 😂 If I were a leader I would be seen in the beginning of a project. Place the right people in the right places, ensure that the plan is clear, contingency plans in place, and ensure everybody has what they need for the job. No, I would not hold anybody’s hands and rub shoulders around the water cooler. Make sure I don’t need to come and say hello unexpectedly to call you into my office. I might watch you like a hawk from the distance, but I don’t micromanage. Do your job well and you will get praise. Waste time with gossip, squabbles, laziness- and you will see me coming down on you like a ton of bricks. Grow up.
