The Key to Enlightenment or Freedom is Understanding (Jñāna)

Enlightenment or liberation is often confused to be some extraordinary experience, some special event or state of consciousness that will set the person free. Unfortunately all these events and states have a beginning and an end. So they fail to bring about what we are really seeking - lasting happiness, peace and love.
Many who had those spiritual experiences eventually are as disappointed as they were in the past, when they discovered, that acquiring material things, the super job, the perfect relationship, etc. have failed them in the quest for happiness.
This is often the time when we get really interested in the non-dual teachings or Advaita.
