One of the greatest ever. Afflicted with heart break, tough times and addiction, OV gifted us songs that reflected the colors of his life and times. May God rest his soul.

Music today isn't passionate. And if it is it's only about sex and not love. I'm thankful that we still have access to this beautiful music. Makes you wanna lend a hand to someone in need

The music, the message and the man. What a generation has lost by not having this music in their lives. Others have said this is pure soul, and they're right.

Awesome song Love it. O V Wright put out some bad numbers but never got the billing he deserved. Paired on this song with James Carr was a smart move but they both should have been pushed further into the spotlight. Such beautiful music and strong voices. The first time I heard this song was today and I love it. Great sounds.

And now what are our young people listening to? Graphic sex and violent soul-destroying rap genre, malevolent social engineering. In O.V's time, Black males sang love songs of respect and devotion to their women. The goal was to have a family of mothers and fathers, amid an extended family of parents staying together. Now 72% of black children are being born to single mothers. In the War on Poverty starting in the 1960's, females were given monies and benefits per child as long as...no stable father and husband lived on the premises. Divorces exploded in the 70's. !st rule of communism, break up the family unit. I am old enough to see how soul music was gradually taken over, just like country music. Favorite O.V. Wright song? A Nickel and a Nail.
