I like the idea of an on board GPU, but trying to sell $1000 gaming PC's is missing the point a bit.

I agree on the pricing although they don't market this as a gaming PC. If you're not using it as a hot-swappable workstation then there are definitely better value options available.

Mhm. I don't really like it. It is very compact, yes. But the battery is wasted space in my opinion, should've used that for swappable RAM slots. Proprietary connector is bad, too. OCuLink exists and if speed is a concern, TB4 is roughly as fast and TB5 is faster than that. The dock is just more money down the drain. At that point, there are better options. And with the new Mac Mini, they are now outpriced by an Apple device with similar specs.

The Mind Link interface is significantly faster and lower latency than Oculink or TB5, so it has its benefits if they use it correctly. Being outpriced by Apple is something they'll need to look closely at if they want this to become a more mainstream product.

@@MichaelKlements I get the idea behind the connector, but I don't think it's a good match. Would be cool if they offered a connector to translate it into a full PCIe 5 connector, so that you could hook up your own GPU. Something like Minisforum and I think Beelink offer? Anyway, great review! Will you test Minisforum's products, too? And I'd like to see if you could add something like thermal throttling and noise over a couple hours of usage as it's own section in the video. You did mention it briefly during the gaming test I believe. Oh, and Cinebench for CPU tests? That would be a great addition, makes it comparable to more sophisticated desktop PCs.
