Fascinating historical pictures of Charlie Chaplin filming spots. Love the idea of explaining the pictures it gives the video so much depth and added meaning. Thank you for sharing it with all of us.

The tremendous amount of research that went into this is beyond comprehension. Very educational, even for someone like me who is not familiar with Los Angles. I’ve never been there.

Growing up in L.A., there were several school and camp field trips to Olvera Street. We always looked forward to these outings. As kids, we were taught how to bargain at this unique and fun Mexican marketplace. One could buy candy, piñatas and lots of hand crafted items. It once was a promonate tourist attraction.

Wow. Rough neighborhood even before they demolished the original Chinatown and put up the new Union Station. It's mostly all train tracks and the Men's Jail off N. Vignes. Today the 101 divides all this from Little Tokyo and Skid Row. Amazing how almost none of the roads were really paved yet.
