Unbelievable! I did not know that they still had the locations and buildings up, from "The Kid" Have been to China Town, hundreds of times and have seen that building! What a complete Classic! Los Angeles needs preserve and care more about saving historical neighborhood and not let go downhill. Los Angeles and Hollywood are historical sites that need to be preseve for future generations and I love Charlie Chaplin films. And I'm going to buy his films his important to Hollywood and Marilyn Monroe.

Yes, Olvera Street holds a lot of history. Too bad LA City Hall doesn’t want to preserve this historical landmark. They have been dragging their feet on just getting good restroom facilities for Olvera Street. Let’s hope this Charlie Chaplin history helps in preventing them from letting this landmark go by the wayside too. The Restaurant Cielito Lindo has some really good Mexican food recommended by food critics. 👍Jah is so cute to watch too.❣️🐕‍🦺 Your videos from 4 to 5 yrs ago are still relevant and entertaining still in 2022. I love the Chaplin cottages. On one visit, I met the manager of the apt/cottages some years back he gave me an actual list of the tenants(celebrities) with the number of which apt they lived in. I stumbled upon this place about 20 years ago. On several times when I went the gate was open. I walked in and looked around.

Come in on the train when I visit LA. Usually try to avoid Olvera St but next time I will check it out. I like to go to La Plaza de Cultura and Artes across the plaza. The second floor has old town setting with lots of interactive displays. Lots of other cultural museums around the plaza too.

That's awesome and thank you for sharing! The Kid is definitely my favorite Chaplin film (The Circus is a close 2nd)! Jackie Coogan was was a bit of a prankster, which made him perfect for his role as Uncle Fester on The Addams Family TV series, IMHO.

Is that film history...or what? I would love to visit that place. Very emotional film, roots from what could have been Chaplins own childhood. That scene when he kiss that kid, touches everyone´s heart, I would imagine. I was very moved the first time I saw The Kid. I don´t know if The Kid is Chaplins most famous movie, but one of them, that´s for sure. I must congratulate you Jordan the Lion, very impressive job, you do.

Yes most of the houses still stand in London. His dad's brother had a pub in Walworth, called the queen's head still stands, but it's used as a cafe now.

Have you visited Niles? We went to a number of nights when they show silent films. Once I had the pleasure of sitting next to, then visiting with Isabelle Hughes who is the daughter of Lloyd Hughes when they showed Love Never Dies. She was so sweet. She had never been able to watch one of her dad’s movies before. Anyway, it is a fun theater. They have amazing piano players and show the incredible cameras and other equipment they have. They are currently closed but I highly recommend it when they reopen. nilesfilmmuseum.org/
